Yay Sarah!! That is very exciting!! If only I could say the same... I hate laundry.

Today we are going to:
-Get room ready for my parents
-go to mommy group!
-CLEAN LAUNDRY ROOM! (I *have* to stop putting this off!)
-try and make some sense out of the disaster in our bedroom
-make dinner
-bath the baby

Well, I didn't get a whole lot done today, because between cramps, a slight cold, and exhaustion from yesterday's big project, I've been kind of "sick" today. All I managed was a shower, getting the kitchen clean, feeding sister breakfast, and keeping her in clean diapers. Mom had to do her lunch. Hopefully, I'll muster up enough strength to feed her dinner. Sigh, maybe tomorrow that bathroom and that ironing will get done.

I hope you're feeling better today OneofHisJewels.

My mom and stepdad are coming over in a little bit and then we are all going out for lunch. Before they get here I need to do the dishes and tidy the living room (really I just need to straighten the cushions and sweep the floor.)

After they leave, hopefully Akeelah will take a nice long nap so I can cook dinner because then we need to get on the bus and go to her swimming lessons. And I must remember to return my library books while we are there.

Good morning ladies!!

I have an appt in the city tomorrow, so that means most of friday's work needs to be done today. Once I go to the city, the rest of the day is shot.

Laundry away
Upper body lift
Get the mail - walk

Sew
Vacuum
Sweep porches
Wash bird poop off window

Mend hubby jacket
Sams Club order
Scour sink
Pizza

That's it for now. I may add more later....

The italics is what is done. I did pretty good today. I even baked some muffins. Ooo, muffins. Think I'll go eat one. I'm going to do the hand sewing on my pants and hubby's jacket while we watch a movie. Figured that was good multitasking.

Thanks, but no I'm not, I'm worse..sadly the cold part got worse, not better. I hate it when I'm all gung ho to be productive and then I get sick. And because of my root health problems, it's harder for me to "keep going" when I'm under the weather than it is for a relatively healthy person.

Tomorrow

1. I need to leave the house by 11 a.m. because it's almost 2 a.m. right now and we have no water. We're having pump problems.
2. I'd like to take a shower and do a little laundry at the apartment.
3. 3:30 p.m. early worship practice so we need to have lunch before. Lunch is typically around 3 p.m. in Mexico
4. 6 p.m. dentist appointment, my oldest gets his braces off tomorrow! Ya for him

The rest of the night off

Sunday

Because it's pms week, I don't want to help with the 10 a.m. service but have to lead the 12 p.m. Spanish worship

We'll be home after sometime after lunch to relax and plan a new week.

Sometime soon we'll be going to the states because God gave us money for a new van! But we're waiting for a special order acoustic guitar for my son as they're back ordered so I don't know when.

I felt much better, today, guys, thanks! I managed to take care of my sister all day, including her bath, I ran errands, made it to the gym, and unloaded/loaded the dishwasher once.

There is still that bathroom to be cleaned, and those clothes to be ironed, but both may be a little much for me, so I have to prioritize.

Welcome the thread, funnygirl! That is a cute login name, by the way!

I got a lot done emotionally today.

I cleaned the showers, took the clothes off the line, spent a couple of hours doing cross-stitch and crying because of a conversation dh and I had last night. Then dh rang and I spent another hour crying in his ear.

I need to wash the bird poop off my car.

And what's a laniai?

Oh, and I popped over to our neighbour's to let him know that he can mow our lawns again when he's ready because I now have some money to pay him (he's been doing it since my last lawn guy stopped doing our area).

It's our pooldeck and surrounding patio all enclosed in a big screen cage. It's our outdoor livingroom, diningroom & playground!

Kylie, I hope your tears were cleansing and you are feeling peace.

No list today!
I am *hoping* to tackle the garage-playroom, but we are busy all day tomorrow and today is our only family-fun day, so I am going to roll with it! Have a great weekend all!

Upper body lift is just toning for the upper body. I walk three times or more a week, but do toning twice, upper body one day and lower body another day.

For today:
Iron
Set out church clothes
Supper
Walk to get mail
Lower body lift
Spot vacuum
Frankferd Farms order
Check out frigdes and freezers, organize
Sew

I added some other things:
VBS crafts
Devo for Women's meeting (can't remember if I have it or not, thought I'd be prepared)

Upload pics to clark
Finish personal devo's
Shower

Whew that's enough!

And the thing about the bird poop is, I found out the rest of the window is in dire need of washing as well. Great. That's for another day.

well, last night I went into the bathroom on the other side of the house (it isn't used because the kids plugged up the toilet and hubby needs to look at it) to get a tool from the tool box...and found that one of the cats is using that shower and part of the floor for a litter box!!!! YUCKO!!!!!!!! So, I am starting on that side of the house today and going to overhaul, clean, sanitize, bleach, then sanitize again (hehehe) that whole section. obviously we need another litter box....maybe having one for four cats is too much for them to handle...even though we clean it out all the time (twice a day). Maybe hubby needs to go to the dollar store down the street and get another litter box...I have a feeling he is going to get antsy later, and that isn't a lot of walking and will get him out of the house for a few minutes.

peculiar lady, where do you live?

I can't believe how much I'm enjoying this thread! Thank you Jesus there are other girls on this earth like me! LOL This helps with the loneliness big time!

It just proves to me how social we are and need people! When we moved to Mexico I was so beside myself because they do EVERYTHING together! You can be sick around your friends, even be old! You need your friends and family to enjoy vacations! How boring it would be to be on vacation without your friends and family here! It's not like the US were we like our privacy!

We spent so much time for almost 3 1/2 years with the Mexicans sleeping at our house, working in our house daily recording that I was severely burned out! With your help I'm relaxing again! I needed you to have this for me! I'm going to cry because I needed so much help emotionally finding myself again! Thank you so much! Now I can enjoy my day! My life! When a person travels a lot doing events, it's a different kind of high and the coming down is a lost feeling. "What do I do now?", feeling.

Bless you my daughters, as they would say here in Mexico! All girls are called your daughters, hijas mias!!!

now we are in OK....we have been all over. I grew up a PK, and moved all over the east coast of the US and ended in TX in the third grade, where I stayed til graduating...then was in Mexico for a while after graduating.....then married an Army man, and we have lived all over and in Germany. We just moved to OK last year.

Oh yes!!! BIG TIME!!!!!!

quote:

yeah I completely can relate to that!!!! Growing up my parents were in kids ministry for many years (as well as pastoring many churches)...and we would travel around all over and do kids crusades for churches. We were basically busy 9 months out of the year doing that every weekend at least...or visiting nursing homes...or helping churches in the area get things started with their kids programs. It can be very tiring emotionally and spiritually....draining. Then when I graduated high school I spent several months (4 I think) in Mexico....well, on the border (the church was located in TX, but we were in mexico from sun up til sun down every day). I worked as an intern at a church that sponsored youth mission trips...so while they got a great five hours of sleep every night, we got like 2 maybe. We had great directors though and they understood the draining part and we would do two weeks on, one week off....and our off weeks they would plan nice quiet things to get away from the church for us to do during those off weeks. They were also very good about teaching us the importance of spiritually filling our tanks and not just giving giving giving all the time.

well, I changed my focus....will hit the kids toys that need to be sanitized...so I started that. Hubby is going to do the bathroom later....I went to start it and started getting sick....so he is going to do it when he can later. He's so sweet!!!!!

I have no idea of my schedule today.

I don't know if I'm picking dh and his trainee up from the airport or the trainee's partner is picking them up (new relationship and they're a little antsy to see each other - that sickening puppy-love stage where no-one wants to be around them).

I do need to do some washing when dh gets home with all his stuff from his trip. I put it off yesterday so that I could do it all at once.

I'm hoping D from next door will come around and mow the lawns today.

Dh was talking about going kayaking this afternoon.

And sometime today we will go to church.

Kylie

Peculiar, thank goodness my life isn't like that! 2 hours of sleep. No way! Our lives are much more normal than that! What was different was the Mexicans always being in our home at first. They were invited to be there. We were learning a new culture and didn't know anyone so normally one or two of the single guys stayed with us during the day. We have a recording studio and so they were working in one room. But we ate together and learned Spanish really fast!

My husband tried to plant a new church through a cyber cafe also giving our musicians a job, but after a few months it closed. That time was really hard because I was sooo burned out and had no privacy. One musician had moved in with us and liked to cook in MY kitchen! I started hiding in my room. I even hid in my closet once to get away from another musician, lol! That's when I was a bit wacky! LOL I just needed a place to let my hair down and it wasn't happening at my home! LOL So, we've had our studio closed for about 8 months now. Unfortunately, we moved out of our home into 2 apartments over the church for about 4 months and I really thought I was going to lose it. I couldn't have felt any more lost. One day we went to get something out of our house in Guadalajara, which is an hour away from the church and I broke down sobbing. I wanted to move home so bad! Thank GOD we moved back into our house a few weeks later! Now, sometimes I feel so tired from insomnia(peri menopause) but thanks so much to you gals being so real, I realize that it's still one day at a time.

We had water this morning! I got a shower before we left, made breakfast, washed the dishes, dusted our large dining room table(gets dusted probably once a week or so), watered my flowers, and ended up washing my car before we left for Chapala(an hour drive) because my son got a bloody nose. We arrived to Chapala, my son started his laundry here in the apartment, the other took a shower and then we walked to Lety's for a seafood lunch. It's cheap here! My fish filete was $75 pesos...so about $7. When we walked back Gustavo was waiting for us to have worship practice. I scrambled and put together a list and had practice with my sons. Gustavo is a new Christian that sings so he's hanging out listening and then he'll start singing in church in about a month. He's hanging out with my son and another Mexican guy, 15, who just moved into the other apartment at the church. They'll be caretakers of the church and only have to pay $1000 pesos a month. Basically, a nice 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment for less than $100. Nice huh?

We'll be leaving soon, my son gets his braces off today and the other wants a different retainer for his bottom teeth. Their other dentist put a permanent bar behind his back teeth. Weird!

I'm happy that God has brought some young Mexican guys into the church for my kids to hang out with! I think theirs 5 or 6 now!
