hopperfan -> Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/7/2008 1:58:09 PM)

I don't know how far this will go but I am a huge fan of Jeff and Sheri Easter. I was wondering how everyone else felt about them. Has anyone seen them since Morgan took Charlotte's place?

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/7/2008 2:00:37 PM)

I like Jeff and Sheri. Good folks. Wish they would come to this area soon.

Jess77 -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/7/2008 2:00:44 PM)

Yep... in Tyler. Morgan did okay. Either she sings really soft or her mic was turned way down. She doesn't seem too sure of herself on stage yet.

Bless her heart! Wait 'til she sings on a Gaither stage!!!

I saw Jeff and Sheri in 2006 but Morgan stayed on the bus because she was sick, so I haven't seen her in person, but I do have their DVD and she sings on it, and she sings loud, so it could have been her mic. Plus it's a new role for her and she may not be sure of herself with that position just yet, but I'm sure she'll do great!

Jess77 -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/7/2008 2:20:38 PM)

Well, she seems very shy. She just doesn't have the stage presence her Mom has. Madison did pretty good playing guitar in the background. Hard to believe he is that old already.

hopperfan -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/7/2008 2:31:16 PM)

Yeah, Madison is a wonderful guitar player. I think Morgan will come around, I met her the night she was sick, Sheri said we could go out to the bus, we went out and chatted for a while. She is a very sweet girl.

What is everyone's favorite song by Jeff and Sheri? I love Roses Will Bloom Again, it is one of my favorites.

I saw Jeff and Sheri in January 2006 when Maura was almost 3 months old...she was adorable! Jeff was telling how now he has a son in his 20s and his fifth child who was a baby at the time! I wish they would put more pictures of the kids on their site.

5th child? What?

I like John Saw, I Just Wanted You To Know, The Moon and I, and The Unexpected Cross

hopperfan -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/8/2008 5:54:36 PM)

Yeah Jeff has 5 children...he was married at a young age to another woman and they had two children, Josh and Misty, then married Sheri and had the other 3.

youngartist -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/8/2008 5:56:38 PM)

"New Day" has to be one of my very favorites ever sung by them.

Jess77 -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/8/2008 5:56:47 PM)

I had NO idea!! I thought that he and Sheri married young. I know they were traveling with her family back in the 80s. I guess his oldest 2 aren't in music?

Josh is married to Wayne Maynard's Daughter.

hopperfan -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/9/2008 10:38:19 PM)

He did travel with Jeff and Sheri some, but didn't sing, I can't remember his role. I know he was with them at a recent Gaither concert I saw pictures of. When Jeff and Sheri married, Jeff was 25 and Sheri was 21...Jeff's first marriage was in his teens. Sheri spoke about in an article in the Gaither Homecoming Magazine once.

kidwell34 -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/11/2008 8:23:26 AM)

I think Jeff and Sherri are great. I really appreciate the country flavor mixed in w/ that good ole southern gospel sound. Sherri has the most angelic presence when on stage-I believe they are great people. It is so awesome to know we have great people and singers, the world can't even come close to what we have, pure singing, pure lives, and above all, knowing what they do creates an everlasting effect on others for Christ

gospelady -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/11/2008 9:49:32 AM)

I love Jeff & Sheri. I'll miss Charlotte but I'm looking forward to hearing Morgan sing with her folks.

I love ROSES WILL BLOOM AGAIN, PRAISE THE LORD, BEEN THERE DONE THAT, TAVERN TO A TEMPLE, LIFE IS GREAT, & many many more.

hopperfan -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/11/2008 11:37:25 AM)

I too will miss Charlotte, but I am looking forward to her success as a solo artist. Morgan I think will do a wonderful job, she has always sang on stage, and has a great voice.

jchaz -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/11/2008 1:45:17 PM)

Josh is a great guy. I met him 8 or 10 years ago when he was playing rhythm guitar with his grandpa's group (The Easter Brothers). I had forgotten about his sister, Misty, though. I've seen her a few times WAY back when she was small.

Welcome!

I read Sheri's blog on Gaither.com and she said that Morgan performed on the Gaither stage for the first time and she did well!

I imagine that HAS to be intimidating for the first time! Good for her!

I saw Morgan singing on the Gaither stage last Friday and she did a fine job. She didn't seem too nervous, but she also wasn't totally comfortable up there either. It'll just take time for her to feel "at home" on stage, espeically when she's going to be performing in front of such big crowds at the Gaither venues!! I'm excited to see her grow as a singer.

leighcunningham -> RE: Jeff and Sheri Thread (4/26/2008 9:50:29 PM)

I was pleased to see that Jeff & Sheri put Morgan in Charlotte's spot. Of course, a teenager isn't going to be as good as a seasoned vocalist, but their choice shows they are not all about show. Asuso299 and I were both impressed with her performance at the Gaither concert a couple weeks ago...I'm sure that's an intimidating crowd to sing with!
