I voted at 39! I woke up from a nap this week and thought I was 45. Probably because I had chatted with a Mexican women who had her last baby at 45; now that baby is 22. RCJames! I don't think I have words to say to people that think that way. One uncle asked my husband what he did with all his free time. One of his aunts thought it terrible that their pastor may make more money than they did! My husband is the first minister on his side of the family. Me, 4th generation.

ORIGINAL: SonInMe1 Older than dirt, younger than God. I see the majority of us are old fogeys. I am 48 I was looking for an age category that would have included "Pre-Cambrian" but it's not there. Might have to add that for my benefit.

Yet, we know from OTHER posts 1love1God1way, you are not completely devoid of humour! and... if you THINK about it, the AGE thing is one of the GREATEST of human foibles... just look at the cosmetic industry, vainly trying shore up, tighten up, paint over, a structure which has death and decay written into its program. (the human body) Can you imagine what it WOULD be like, if there really were aliens looking in on our TV transmissions? Seeing our TOTAL PREOCCUPATION with things unattainable, indefensible, and, patently fleeting in nature! I am reminded of a news bulletin a couple of years ago.. "Robert Redford buys a mountain"... well, no offense Bobbie, but I think that may be akin to a fruit fly whose life cycle is measured in minutes proudly proclaiming he owns the entire orchard!

Yeah, what's that verse about how we should be teaching the Word, but we are still taking milk??? As an over-thirty-er, myself, I get frustrated at how long I sat on my spiritual duff! God's time is not my time, huh?

Chronological age: 43 Spiritual age: older than yesterday and hopefully a little older than tomorrow. I'm not a Baby Christian but I think it'd be arrogant to think I've arrived.

As an encouragement, although I truly believed when I was younger I can tell you it was about age 33 when I got serious about my faith.
