My most embarassing crush was in highschool. I actually crushed on him from 6th grade to 9th grade. He was the popular jock. I was the band geek. So it was a crush from far.
Well one night my older sister got mad at me and called him and told him I liked him. When I did not show up the next day because I was out for medical appointments, rumors went around and he told everyone what my sister told him. So the next day I returned to face all of that with brand new glasses and braces. Not my finest moment.
As for celebs: I had a HUGE crush of Johnny Depp (21 Jump Street years).

Oh, didn't EVERYBODY have a crush on Erik Estrada?  My other famous crushes included Bo Duke and others my tired brain can't remember right now.
Hey, J3, Speaking of embarassing crushes, I had a crush on this guy in 7th grade. I remember sooo vividly in art class I was sitting next to Chris who was one of those "safe" kids, or so I thought, and I accidently spilled the beans on my crush, Jay. Oh my!!  He told him! And Jay came over to talk to me... and I turned 50 shades of red!  I was kinda surprised that he was as nice as he was... he was a "jock" and I was a "band geek".
Oh, and here's another funny story: I went to a tiny church for a couple of years and there was this guy... he and his friend were the only boys my age. He said some of the most hurtful things and I would leave literally in tears. He would follow me out to the car and bounce up and down on the bumper and that made me even more angry. He was evil!! (and no, he wasn't a PK)
Well, after an event (roller skating I believe) he fell asleep... on my shoulder. It was the only day he gave any hints he liked me. Boys --

My biggest celeb crush was actually Justin Timberlake. That's embarassing to admit though.
But my biggest crush I had on a real person was this guy named James. He was so fine. And he would take me snowmobiling in the winter. And flirt with me shamelessly. He always had a girlfriend though. Because I was homeschooled my friend told me I was his church girlfriend. LOL

B.D. Wong, I've always thought he was hot! There's just something about him.
Will Smith, body like a greek god . . . need I say more? Or can I say that on CW?
Michael J. Fox and Johnny Depp as a teen, I thought they were cute.

LOL, Dakota, you're not the only one who thinks BD Wond is hot! Women at work talk about those SVU guys all the time. Personally, I like the new cop played by Adam Beach. Adam is so incredibly hot, and he's from here (my city in Canada). You should check him out when he used to have long hair.
My celebrity crushes have improved. It was Rick Springfield way back in the 80s, then I moved on to athletes in the 90s and now, I'm totally gaga over Anderson Cooper of CNN ( I often say he's my 9 o'clock boyfriend as he comes on at 9 on AC360). Weird, I know. But I still like Brett Favre (and most NFL quarterback), so that cancels out the weirness of having a crush on AC.

my biggest "celebrity" crush was donny osmond. and would you believe...I GOT TO MEET HIM???? it was about 10 yrs ago...i was working at united airlines and he was doing 'joseph and the technicolor dreamcoat' in chicago. he came to our facility for a united way fundraiser we were doing. i was in an international reservations class and he stopped by our classroom. fortunately for me, one of my instructors was also spearheading his tour that day...and we had already shared our youthful crushes on him. she made a point of introducing us. we stood and chatted for about 15 mins...he asked me to explain city codes vs airport codes. then he asked if we could have our picture taken. (of course!) as she backed up to take our picture, he asked (as if he had to ask!!) 'may i put my arm around you?'  (i'd be heartbroken if you didn't, she replied, wearing a shy, stupid smile)
IRL....my current crush is the boy i started crushing on in 5th grade. by middle school, every time we had a film in history class, he would say he coulnd't see and move his chair next to my desk...and we'd hold hands under the desk. then by high school...when i was in volleyball practice and he was in basketball practice, we'd conveniently have to retrieve balls from under the bleachers at the same time...and sneak a kiss. and all thru this...we never once dated! isn't that funny? then 4 yrs ago, a couple months before our 20th class reunion, he sent me an email asking if i would be attending (it was in IL...i was living in AL). he said i was the only person he wanted to see again...the only reason he would go. conveniently, when i moved back a few months later, he was my bestest friend's middle son's football coach...and i ran into him a lot. we've been on again/off again for 4 yrs now.
for how wonderful it sometimes is...there's always something in the way of our becoming a full-fledged couple. God seems to be telling me to be patient. but it's positively breaking my heart. 
 maybe i should email donny....

thanks, colleen. i'm almost embarrassed to admit how much purple i owned during those years. giggle but really...how many people get to meet their celebrity crushes...let alone teach them something and not sound like a complete blubbering idiot? AND have them ask to put their arm around you? still makes me sigh like a 30's movie starlett.
