Obama said it is the poor ecomony that makes folks cling to religion etc.

25 years ago when the steel business was booming in Pa. the folks were clinging to the same things; Faith, freedom, law abiding communities.

Oh come on! It may have been true back in the slow transportation days but your view is as narrow minded as those "bitter small town, gun clinging, religious folks".

I did manage to git to town a few times a year to see them big tall buildings and super smart city folk when I was a yungin' growin' up in a southern, middle of the sticks, gun totin', Southern Baptist church goin' childhood. Why heck I even managed to git myself a genuine college edumacation too from a school whose debate team beat the snot out of that high fallutin' Haaaavaaard's debate team almost every year for 20 years.
