Obamessiah- 4/16/08- Debate in Pennsylvania... He does it again folks and I quote: "People run to religion when government doesn’t function." HAHAHAHAHAHA.... So then when religion doesn't function where do we run??? Back to government. This man clearly doesn't understand! Religion? What about relationship. He is clueless... Absolut(ely) clueless.

Did Sen. Obama spin on this issue last night! Obama said "that, when people feel like Washington's not listening to them ... then, politically, they end up focusing on those things that are constant, like religion. "They end up being much more concerned about votes around things like guns, where traditions have been passed on from generation to generation," Obama said. Nothing says family and tradition like passing on your gun collection to your kids... Happiness, is a warm gun...

The problem, as I see it, is that there is no checks and balances in our State; which as goes for Federal Government; government without an even amount of both liberal & Conservative Democrats, and, Conservative & liberal Republicans Representatives of the people. When the majority representatives are liberal (found in both Democrats & Republicans) all we get is Tax and Spend, and, Waste for the purpose of Beautification --- to look good or be the First, the Best, the Leader in..., and so forth. Maryland is a liberal Democrat State, with liberal Republicans, and a sprinkle of Conservative Republicans thrown-in to look good. The majority of Voters are also liberal Democrats, so until the numbers change --- Maryland will continue to be a Tax & Spend State.

In another thread when I posted my thoughts on border tensions between the U.S. and Mexico the response to me was, "You really need to get out of your small town more often and experience a little diversity in your life!" Must be an Obama supporter

I kinda like Fred Smith so far. The thought of Bev Perdue in the governor's mansion is really scary. One of the many reasons I left upstate New York 12 years ago and came here was the lower taxes, not to mention jobs, general cost of living, weather, etc. At this point I can only say that the weather is better. Oh, and there really are fewer liberals here, though I think they're all bailing out of the northeast and coming here. -Dave
