ORIGINAL: phosadaud I'm still trying to convince my parents to see it. My mom says she thinks it would be "too much", but I know it would be life changing for them - especially my mom. She is very religious, but I'm not sure how much she really grasps who God is and how great His love is. That's what I got out of the movie the most: God's overwhelming love for us. It's one thing to know it in your head intellectually - it's quite another to see it played out right in front of you (even if it's "just a movie"). I agree...I was so overwhelmed in the theater, that I couldn't even make it out of the building before I could get myself together. MY sin cost a great deal. And, I think if every Christian visually saw a glimpse of the cost of their own sin, they'd live their lives very differently or at least attempt to.

Amen! I went to see it by myself. And I'm really glad I did. I did not want to talk afterward, I just wanted to think and thank God.

ORIGINAL: armydude I'm thinking a good discussion of a Bruce Willis movie would be a good thing... Maybe Die Hard... I loved Die Hard! I haven't seen any of the sequels, but I loved the original. I always think of Roy Rogers when I think of Die Hard. That's what the cop called Bruce Willis' character. Isn't Roy a great name? Come to think of it, I don't know any Roys. Does anybody know any Roys?

It was alrght - my husband loved it. I was thinking more like Jet Li's One or War. We just watched Forbidden Kingdom that was pretty cool, reminiscent of Karate Kid.
