M&E are so relative anymore...it's difficult to post anything without offending someone(s) experience. Sometimes, people just need a hug - but even that can get twisted into something else over there.

well, ya know a hug can either squeeze the oxygen from your brain, leaving you somewhat dazed and confused or a hug can smother anger or maybe even heap coals upon another's head it's a ring toss for sure...

While the base path dimensions are standard, the outfield dimensions of each park are different. Really! I didn't know that! You know, somehow that doesn't seem quite right. There is an old George Carlin routine comparing football and baseball. The upshot is football is extremely rigid while baseball is easy and flexible. That is the beauty of baseball. You have the Green Monster in Boston with the short fence and high wall that is in play. And in Houston the deepest part of center field actually goes uphill.

You don't want to get in the middle of it? I always thought getting in the middle of the fray was much more entertaining than watching from afar...

- It should be OK as long as it's not too thick.

When I was a kid, we always had either popcorn or ice-cream after dinner. My parents would make up a huge bowl of popcorn and we'd eat the first half one night, the next half the next night. One night, I was eating some of the leftover popcorn that had been left sitting on top of the fridge. As I'm chowing down, I see a spider in the popcorn. What you have to understand is that I really don't like spiders. Give me snakes, mice, bees, whatever. But spiders send chills up my spine. One of my philosophies in life is that any land creature with 8 legs deserves to die. I of course was a weeeeeeeeee bit freaked out by finding a spider in the same popcorn I was eating (a live spider by the way). However, I actually was doing fairly ok at not freaking out when my dad decided he'd be funny. He calmly stated, "I wouldn't worry about the spider. Of course, maybe it had babies...." I'm pretty sure I turned about 30 shades of green. However, 2 miracles happened that day. I didn't throw up. I am still able to eat popcorn.

I take back my drool on that note... maybe I oughta examine James' popcorn for spiders first. You know the bad thing is when there's one spider, there's usually more - kinda the same principle for scorpions. I abhor both of those creations. *shivering* Ugh! I admire your strong constitution - but I might have been turned off to popcorn forever, were I in your shoes.
