Yes, definitely!

My absolute favorite came out whn I was in high school I think--Ciara. We stopped once to get coffee at a McDonalds or something in NJ, and the girl behind the counter wanted to know what it was. She said "I love that--it smells so...comforting"

I also like Youth Dew. I don't know why--I always thought it smelled like old ladies, but the older I got, the more I liked it. For winter

Samsara is also nice.

Those are about the only ones I can wear--I have some weird chemistry or something, and most fragrances make me...stink.

Himself used to wear the most wonderful man-smell when we were dating. I had never dated a man that wore after-shave or cologne before, and it was sooo nice. It's Davidoff---Cool Water, maybe? Now he only wears it when...well, never mind . But it works really well

Honestly, I don't wear either. I prefer to be au natural, and am glad my husband doesn't use artificial aromas either. I like how he smells. Of course, most Native people do not have strong body odor anyway.

My sense of smell is, well... I could probably smell beer over the telephone. Most people wear way too much cologne/perfume, and probably do not realize how it mingles with the scents from the soap they bathed with, the deoderant they put on, the hair gel/spray/mousse they used when styling their hair, the detergent and fabric softener they used on their clothes, not to mention mouthwash, coffee, food, and other things, overlaying their own natural scent. Well, they usually don't but I sure do, and I usually avoid elevators and crowds first thing in the morning when all this stuff is fresh and in full force.

Strange as it may seem, how someone smells tells me things about them, and I'm not sure how to explain that. I can tell when one of us in the household is getting sick by changes in how the person smells, and there may be truth in the metaphor "smell a rat" as well.

There was a study done a few years back to determine how body odor and facial recognition/sexual attraction worked. Women were more apt to determine a man attractive when a cloth with male sweat was placed in close proximity then when none was placed. Also, women were more apt to respond with sexual arousal to male sweat(and the phermones in it) during ovulation than during menstruation(yeah, like that took a PhD to figure out).

Men, likewise were more apt to respond favorably to a female image- ven a less attractive one- when a cloth with female sweat was present than not, although less so than women did men.

Scent is known to play a role in male/female attraction and sexual relationships, and a recent study suggested that pregnant women release phermones which elicit a more protective response from their mates, while non-pregnant women release phermones which elicit sexual arousal from their mates, ostensibly to increase the chances of conception by increasing the male's sex drive and copulatory activity.

So that cologne that smells so good whilst courting might hide natural body scent that is far less attractive to the smeller, who then wonders what they thought was attractive about the smellee in the first place.

The nose always knows, apparently.

I like Victoria Secret's Love Spell. It's the only scent besides the Christmas Blend Noel from Bed Bath and Beyond that people tell me I smell good. I don't like the advertising by Victoria Secret but I do like many of their products.

There is a body spray, cologne, and lotion and they're all yummy!

I don't think most people use perfumes to cover body odor. Body odor is never a problem for me...I just like smelling pretty!

I wear perfume or body spray every single day. I can't imagine not using it. It's just part of getting ready in the morning. My very favorite nice perfume is Amarige by Givenchy. It's kind of my signature scent, I guess, and one I always have. I also wear Dolce & Gabbana and Juicy Coture sometimes.

My favorite everyday body spray is Velvet Tuberose from bath and Body Works

I used to wear Victoria's Secret heavenly, but was running out recently and couldn't bring myself to pay that much for it again.

As I was searching for a perfume that was cheaper I came across Celine Dion's Belong and I absolutely love it!

It is the perfect blend of sweet and a very light floral scent. I love it so much more that V.S. and the price is right. Especially this past Christmas when K-mart clearanced the whole gift set for 7 dollars. I bought 2 extra sets so I am good to go for a long, long time

Ps, Ciara used to be my absolute favorite!
I bought some recently and something weird must have happened to me (or it) because I didn't like it anymore (on me).

I wear a few: Wild Honeysuckle and Coconut Lime Verbana from Bath and Body Works and Heavenly From Victoria's Secret. I occasionally wear Tommy Girl perfume but that's when I want something young and frisky.

I like perfume. I wear Estee Lauder's Spellbound fall and winter, and usually their Beautiful in the summer. I also like Oscar De LaRenta (sp?), it has a softer fragrance.

I don't wear any. I used to wear something by Avon and don't even remember the name of it. I stopped wearing perfume and prefumed lotions 8 years ago when we discovered my youngest ds had serious allergies and some scents really triggered those allergies. He's older now and his allergies are pretty much under control, but I don't want to risk a trip to the ER with a child that is having trouble breathing.

Blessings,

Garsy

I don't wear perfume and I don't particularly care for other people wearing it either. I'm allergic to most strong smells and they give me a headache and athma/allergies. If someone comes into a room wearing more than a hint of fragrance, I will have to leave.

I like to wear perfume. I usually have 2-3 different types. I do not have a favourite. I just get a different one each time. Now though I have to stick to one since i sell it.

I occasionally wear perfume but generally don't like a strong scent such as perfume. Most perfumes I have I've been given as gifts over the years. I think I have Estee Lauder's Pleasures and use it occasionally. But I rarely buy perfume for myself.

I get many more comments about smelling good from simply the scent of my shampoo I use daily which is a subtle scent. Perfumes even used sparingly can be over-powering.

Also, I have to disagree with poster who said people use perfume to cover odor. I'm not a smoker and the only time I would ever try to disguise body odor is maybe after camping or the such when you haven't been able to bath a couple of days. I would never use it for regular "hygiene".

I don't like any manufactured scents. They're all too strong. Most people who wear perfume give me a headache.

I do like adding a few drops of mint or orange essential oil to some apricot kernal oil. I use it as a moisturizer. Its a very very light odor.

I remember wearing a scent I absolutely loved to church one day. I'm not sure, but I think it was me making the man next to me sneeze. Ever since then I'm careful about where I wear smelly stuff, out of concern for people who can't tolerate it. Bummer too, because I do like to wear it.

I don't think odor is an oxymoron, although the word odor (as opposed to scent) has distinct connotations in English of the stinky variety. In reality its definition is as neutral as scent.
