Rejoicing, praying, and being thankful are linked, right?

The opposite is also true.

I don't think I understand the point you are trying to make.

Paul says in the same passage, about rejoicing, praying and being thankful. They are not activities in isolation from one another. We can't expect to turn joy, prayer and thankfulness on and off like a faucet, in isolation. Rather, they are all part of the daily Christian life and Paul brings them all together in the same passage in 1 Thess. 5.

Take care.

Had to go quickly reread 1 Thessalonians 5! :)

And yes, I agree with you. God's word tells us this and it is good to remind ourselfs of how we are to behave. Our relationship with the Lord is part of us and how we are to think, behave, react all the time. (It's not just something we put on Sunday morning.)

What I didn't understand was your statement:

Okay.

I meant a lack of joy, a lack of prayerfulness and a lack of thankfulness can also go together.

Take care.

ok, thanks.

Isn't it wonderful how joy just fills your heart as you praise God! How You see Him everywhere when you are atone to Him. :)

Yes. And Phillippians is the Epistle of Joy, isn't it.

Take care and God bless.
