For those of you who do not know, I have a daughter who just turned 2 in March. She was born with all of her fingers fused together, some of her toes fused together, and an extra toe on each foot. I also had problems like this at birth, and so did my father, so it's genetic (which really surprised the doctors that I have two boys older than dd, but they didn't have any problems like this at all). She has been a patient at the Shriner's Hospital for Children since she was only MONTHS old, and they have completed two of the series of four surgeries that she will have to have to correct everything. She will have surgery #3 this Thursday, April 24. Please keep our family in prayer, especially dd for well being during and after the surgery. There is also a family history of malignant hypothermia, so there are extra precautions that they take with putting her to sleep...so keep than in mind as you pray. Also, if you could do one little thing for me...if you read this, and you pray for my daughter, please let me know by posting here and adding in your post what state you live in. Since her first surgery, I have printed out a little map of the United States and colored in the states that someone had said that they would pray for her, and listed their name and state for her to see as she grows up. I would definitely appreciate your prayers for our family.

That is such a lovely idea. I reminber praying for her last two surgeries. Maybe some who pray and don't post will post they're state for you.

Thank You Father, for this dear precious child, and for her family. Be with her during this surgery. Cause all to go well and help her to heal with no complications. Take away her fear and pain before they even begain. Give the whole family a save trip, and Your peace. We thank You and praise You Lord. In Jesus name. Amen

Jesus, help this family, this baby who is so dear to you, and so loved by you. Please be with her during the surgery, help the pain, not be there, from the surgery. Bless this family meet all needs, money, peace, time with other children, what ever the needs are. For you are an awsome God that cares about this child, and family and every need. Thank You Jesus.

I am praying for the precious child. Lord please I ask you to bring healing to this child and protect her through this surgery. I just ask you to please heal her and please keep her close
to you..I pray for these sweet parents as they go through this with their child, please that
you keep them calm and give them peace to know you are in charge here!!

Father God, I ask that you be with this entire family. You are the Great Physician and I pray that You put Your healing hands on this baby girl, that You grant the knowledge and ability to the doctors and the staff at the hospital. I pray that You hold in Your hands the parents while they are waiting for the wonderful results that You are going to give them. I pray that they see You though all of this and that they are Your Example to everyone with whom they come in contact. I pray that there be minimal to no bleeding, that the recovery time is miraculously small and that Your Signature is on this entire surgery.

Father we love You and we thank You for loving us. Watch over this precious family and we give You the Honor and Praise. Amen

Thank you all for your prayers. Just wanted to let you know that the surgery went well. It lasted for about 2 hours, as they had guessed that it would. There was one thing that they told us early on might be a possibility, and it turned out to be the case. The x-rays didn't really show if there was a bridge bone between the two fingers at the top or not...they said that sometimes there is and sometimes there isn't, and that the x-rays don't always show it. They THOUGHT that dd's might be because of how her fingers looked at the very top. She had only a small, narrow bridge of bone between the two fingers, so they had to cut through that, get it "shaved" down to look "normal" and then put the skin graphs and sew everything up. Everything went well though...she has had a couple of rough nights since...I'm not sure if it's all due to pain or just not being able to get comfortable with that cast on her arm. Either way, still pray for her recovery now that the surgery is complete and was a success. By the way, the doctors were really impressed with her... ;) She has a wonderful personality... even after something like this. Thank you all for your prayers so far.

It brought tears to my eyes and I felt so strongly when i just read your last post...I felt like I was right there with you....I am praying for this sweet child that she will heal perfectly and that God continue to be with her and grow with her and through her...
