ORIGINAL: John_O I have a profile on Christian cafe with a photo of me driving the boat. (Taken by our own mutinywxgirl and which everyone says ifs a good picture). Also have a portrait one on there. My profile description is pretty well written and states exactly who I am and what I'm looking for. I get very few inquiries and even fewer repsonses to inquiries I've sent out. The response has been so mediocre that I haven't even checked it in weeks I figure everyone must think I'm just too good for them or something. (Ouch, stop kicking me, Ouch. OK OK I'll fix it.) My Overwhelming Humility demands that I state that I'm just a homely guy and my writing must be on at most a third grade level. God must be planning to bring me my wife from a different direction. You know what, I did a little experiment on this in one of the non Christian website. I posted a whole bunch photos taken outdoors during my hiking/skiing trips, or goofing around somewhere in the beach. I did a little profile saying something about myself. Nothing too deep. I received tonnes of response from men wanting to meet me. Then I changed the profile to say that I'm a Christian, and looking for someone who's a true Christ follower. I posted the same pictures. I got two responses. And neither sounded enthusiastic about meeting me. Moral of the story. Lay all your cards on the table. YOu'll know who's truly interested in getting to know you.
