drussell52 -> brief autobio:) (4/24/2008 12:35:38 PM)

Hi and shalom. My name is drussell52 (David) and would like to correspond with others who have an interest in Messianic belief but may also find themselves within the evangelical circle as it were. I am middle-aged, married, 2 teens, work from home, musician at our church and free-lance, similar in music style to Billy Joel, visually impaired, and for nearly 2 years have been studying Hebrew Roots of our faith from reputable sites like torah class and theology news network. I was in some forums which were rather extreme in folks' observance of the instruction of God, but live in a world where liberty is almost taken for granted. So much to say and don't want to bore you nor ware out my welcome. Hoping to start a torah study group of sorts in the fall using an introductory workbook from tnnonline. If you have interest in this aspect of faith, please make yourself known so we may compare notes or experiences. Finally, I really enjoy the crosswalk devotional and the writers who help put faith where it meets life; often feel as though they are seeing my life at a distance. Glad to be here and more glad to start 2-way communication. Shalom..

Welcome, David! I also recommend the link that FreeNichole has in her post. That'd probably be the best place to find folks of like mind.

FN - I edited your link. It worked, but I cleaned it up a little. [;)]

Hello, it's nice to see another linguist on the net (not to be arrogant enough to imply that I'm a spectacular linguist, it's more a hobby for me). I'll have to check through your posts to see if there's much activity in a workbook on the Torah, that's something I'd be interested in.
