No my Mom doesn't have a tattoo at the moment, but I'm sure she is considering one.

Okay.

So has she indicated what she might like by way of ink, sth faith related maybe, like your dad's?

Take care.

Sure! I just don't have the guts for the pain.

You must know, but did you realize that tattooists constantly rub ointment over the area whike they are inking, and that a little design that doesn't involve a lot of color need only take 20 mins?

Take care

(Lovely looking baby, BTW]

To me this is an excellent example of how 20 minutes may be like a lightning flash under some circumstances but like 5 years under others.

I honestly laughed at that one. Ditto.

Plus, I want it to have meaning. My hubby and I both figure it'll 'hit us' when/if an idea ever comes up that we want to put on our bodies permanently.

(And Thanks for the baby comment!)

LOL...I sat nearly five hours for the tattoo on my leg. Pain depends on the person, the area of the body, the intricacy of the tattoo and how HEAVY-HANDED the artist is. [sm=eek.gif] [8D]

I'm thinking about getting something like THIS on my shoulder blade area.

Underneath maybe Hebrews 12:1. . . "for the joy set before Him he endured the cross."

Are you both planning one together, or sth?

Take care

I'm thinking about getting two on each of my biceps.

One saying "Walker" and the other saying "Texas Ranger".

Okay, so not necessarily faith related tattoos, then.

Did you get any piercings first? Ppl who get ink often go for a piercing or two first of all.

Take care

I love that drawing.
The church I attended while growing up had a huge painting of it hanging in the entryway.
It was my avatar for awhile too.[:)]

karlie -> RE: Has anyone considered a (maybe faith related) tattoo? (5/1/2008 11:18:26 AM)

Nope. I would never want to mark my skin permanently for any reason. The idea of a faith related tatoos is not so bad, but the look of ink injected in skin(especially for a woman) is just an icky look to me. Plus, my husband would have the fit of all fits! [8D]

ETA: The tattoo's I'm looking at aren't faith inspired...just something that I like. *shrug*

I voted "Yes, considered a tattoo". But something inside of me says it isn't biblical. I'm just not sold it is a way Christ would want us to witness. I welcome any comments for and against tattoos.

Two different tattoos. A beautiful female snake on my right shoulder and a faerie on my lower left leg.

godogs -> RE: Has anyone considered a (maybe faith related) tattoo? (5/2/2008 9:29:48 AM)

I voted "nope." My daughter said she would like one and I said once your 18 knock yourself out. However, I did advise her that if two equally qualified people applied for a job with me and one of them had a tatoo/nose ring/ or some other odd piercing, I would hire the other one.

Bubbles5 -> RE: Has anyone considered a (maybe faith related) tattoo? (5/2/2008 10:00:15 AM)

Guess that's why I don't like tattoos.
When my oldest daughter turned 18 years old she went and got one. Guess it's on her lower back. A small one tho. I never looked at it.
Then last year my younger daughter turned 18. That very day she went and got a tattoo. It filled her WHOLE back!! I would'ent look at it. I can't beleive she marked up her body like that!! She said she like's art and tats are a form of expressing art. I told her to put it in a frame and hang it on the wall! That way she could enjoy it more.
Sorry folks...just don't like them...faith related or not.

Yes, okay, you're entitled to your preferences.

But didn't you know that the visit to the parlor for some ink is so often what 18 year olds expect to do? Some ppl would say, if there is going to be inking out there, let it be constructive and faith related if possible.

But you must know what you like.

Take care.

faroukfarouk -> RE: Has anyone considered a (maybe faith related) tattoo? (5/5/2008 12:34:27 PM)

So have you been to check out your local parlor yet in relation to the sort of designs you like>

Take care.

No but I have a friend who designs tattoos and he's making them for me and then his buddy is going to do the tattoos.
