Dear Counselor,

I was wondering, do I have to attend class tomorrow?

Yours truly,
Terri

Yes. Since you weren't there, your grade will be lowered.

ORIGINAL: MissGizmo

Now as to english class tomorrow. I ain't goin, the dog ate my homework, I don't want no more, and that is my story and I'm sticking to it.

Professor Kerr is not as dumb as he looks, no homework has been assigned yet. Go stand in the corner.

Thet there's a gud exkuse, mis Gizmoo.

ORIGINAL: WhiteRoseBlessings

Cranky, I ain't gonna be able to make that there English class. But then, I ain't go no reason to go neither, so I think I should be ok, Whaddya think?

Each of you get extra credit for your independent writing exercise, but it is wiped out for not attending class, for cranky misspelling "Gizmo", and for Sharon-Marie capitalizing "cranky"

quote:

ORIGINAL: WhiteRoseBlessings

LOL - We must all be on the same brave wave regarding the English class. That's just too funny.

You have either misspelled "brain" wave or invented a cool new term that is sure to sweep the nation, starting in California.

As in: "All the Beach Boy fans are ridin' the same brave wave."

I'm here for the English class. If I'm the only one to show up, do I get extra credit? Need me to clean the blackboard? Clap the erasers? Polish this luscious apple I just brought you?

Mr. Kerrlaw, I came at 8:30. Us homeschoolers are very prompt, you know.
(Oh no, I just admitted that homeschoolers need English class... ) Oh well.

Respectfully yours,
Bethany

Mona and Bethany, being my favorite students, are excused from this weeks homework assignment.

The rest of you are to read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain and submit a 500 word report.

You are to discuss the extensive use of satire and why this masterpiece is considered one of the first great American novels.

It's been a great choice for the kids. The view keeps them very occupied and happy. We have chairs in front of the windows and Mr. Cranky and I sit together and enjoy the view, while the kids try to figure out what kind of boats are coming by.

The crankys always seem to have a good time. I want to go on vacation with y'all too.

But wouldn't the view be better if you removed the chairs from in front of the windows?

Yeah! Remember the neat parties we used to have when someone went out of town?!?!?!?!?

Ruth - take some paint brushes and some paints and decorate your corner into a pretty new world. That will show Professor Kerr.

I didn't go to class this morning because MissGizmo ate my homework. That is my story and I'm sticking to it.

Sharon-Marie that is a good idea. I have a new box of perment markers in very pretty bold colors, so I will use those while I stand here.

I have done some checking and the cheapest flights from KC to Knoxville is $350.

Try KC to Atlanta...Atlanta is only a couple hour drive. I know when we lived in Cleveland, TN we were 90 miles from Atlanta and Cleveland is about 30 minutes or so from PF and Ktown...if my memory serves me right.

Hope I am not riding with y'all when traveling from PF to Cleveland. a good 1 hour and 45 minute drive. 3 1/2 to 4 hrs from Atlanta. Reasonable driving times.

I am so sorry that I forgot to post how I was doing in this thread. Thank you so much for praying for me. everything went really well. They did find cancer and removed my thyroid. I just got this huge bandaged removed and replaced with a small bandage. I can't get it wet yet though. I am going too ask AS's aid tomorrow if she can wash my hair for me. She can do it without stressing the neck or getting everything wet.

Don't worry my memory didn't serve me at all. Hubby corrected me and told me I must have been thinking about Athens...probably so!!

Sorry Counselor! I had work this morning and was unable to attend class. I must admit though I very rarely have spelling problems. It has something to do with my OCD.
