How about ROR?

I don't care how loud she gets, I haven't set a bond yet.

I'm never gonna get out of the oubliette!

I'm so perfectly innocent and unfamiliar with arrest and jail stuff that I don't know what ROR means.

It mean Released on Own Recognizance

quote:

If the judge set a ROR bail "release on recognizance" defendant, he will then be permitted to leave the courtroom out the door. Someone who is ROR'd is released simply on his promise that he will return to court on the date set by the judge. In some states, the defendant will be returned to the jail for a short time while ROR is processed, then released.

Your welcome Fritz. ROR's are given to people that the judge believes are not going to run away before trial.

Yay for football talk!

And for the record, I ate ketchup last night with my fries and my burger. Sure was good!

{{Kerr}}, I'm still keeping all of y'all in my prayers.

Well, anything but ketchup.

We eat ketchup on our scrambled eggs (the horrors!) . We went to a friend's house for brunch one morning years ago and she honest-to-Pete would not allow us to have her ketchup for our eggs! She wasn't joking.
I was going to share this last night, but I was so incredibly sleepy that I, instead, went to bed . . .

When CS and I were first dating, very early in our relationship, and the first time he ever cooked eggs for me . . . he served up a plate of eggs for me, very lovingly covered them in ketchup and then brought such gift to me. Then he went and got his eggs, did the same thing and sat down next to me with his plate.

I was, to say the least, agahast. Horrified. And even somewhat baffled. What was I to do? I didn't want to discount his gesture of kindness. Afterall, how many men call you up and ask to come get you so they can make breakfast for you? I was deeply touched that he wanted to do this for me.

But . . . uhm, I can't stand ketchup. Not in the least. Ick.

And here, this handsome sweet man had just made the most yummiest-smelling scrambled eggs for me . . . and then absolutely ruined them by pouring red corn syrup all over them.

So . . . I pasted a smile on my face, and ate every bit of that concoction. And I drank LOTS of water.

Fortunately, he didn't ask me if I like them or not . . . and so I didn't have to concern myself with being honest without hurting his feelings.

A few days later, he called me up again and made the same offer to cook breakfast for me. I asked him what was on the menu, and he told me scrambled eggs.

I asked him if that included ketchup.

Dead silence. For about up to a minute.

He then asked, "Do you not like ketchup?"

Me: "Not in the least."

He then tells me that he'll remember that.

Nothing else was mentioned about it; he came and got me, cooked me a wonderful delicious plate of ketchup-free scrambled eggs, poured ketchup all over his, we ate our breakfast, went out rambling around Grand Teton National Park and had an absolutely most wonderfully fun day.

After that, whenever we'd go out to a restaurant, he'd always move the ketchup bottle to his side of the table and then smile this most amazing charming smile at me.

Long after that 2nd breakfast; maybe a year or more later, he told me that he thought the way I had handled the scrambled eggs & ketchup incident very sweet. For that, I'm glad.

OK. End of story.
