Yeah, I really don't like what the helmet does to my hair either.
We have this really cool bike path tha goes right past a coffee shop I have always wanted to go to but I don't because I don't want to take off my helmet.

I hear ya ... especially since you can't even wear your hair in a pony with a helmet. Never mind the red mark it leaves across your forehead.

Yes, biking = go home immediately afterwards.

Now, I'm thinking here, this is the place for that right? What about bald guys who like to go biking? They don't need to worry about their hair, but then they end up with "ring head" from the helmet!!

LOLOL ... I'm getting a clear visual in my mind

I really like the visual I'm getting. I'm sure the red mark will go away quickly. LOL

It's weird why it's not loading. LOL. But now, I'm quite curious, so I'll pm you my email address.

Bikes and helmets . . . Since I ride my trike for pleasure and for transportation (and am usually going to a destination) . . . I don't wear a helmet; and it always annoys some people; but I can't stand those helmets and I can't stand my hair after wearing one.

People. Just tell them that if you were riding a bike you would wear one, but that what you are riding is a trike. LOL
I wear one for 2 reasons. 1. I require my kids to. 2. A dear friend of mine in the fifth grade died while riding on the front of a bike down the hill near my home. We really did not wear helmets back then. I never forgot that incident.

How sad.

I make the munchkin wear one too. I was in a nasty accident on my bike when I was in high school. Thank goodness my hands broke the fall. And absorbed lots of little pieces of glass ... and messed up my wrists.

Oh {{{Nadine}}

Really, I should wear one, but I just can't bear it.

And you're right to set a good example for your kids.

There were three boys that walked to school together Clyde, Eli and Scott. Clyde and Eli were brothers and they were bullies. They always teased the girls and pushed us into puddles and such...they never played favorites any girl was fair game. But Scott never joined in and occsionally would tell them to knock it off. I always appreciated that. Scott was the one who died. you know the boys cut down on the teasing after that.

Interesting how God uses lives, even young ones like Scott

I know it! Everyone loved him. I get emotional when I talk about it and I was in 5th grade when it happened. It was quite tramatic.

I don't think something like that would ever leave you or not have an impact on you.

LOL; Thanks, Nadine.

The sun was in my eyes and I was squinting, but that's probably the only picture I ever had taken of me at the beach.

LOL!

No, Pam . . . I was cleaning off my desktop computer the other day and found some photos that were on it.

Actually, I don't have that many photos of me from my first 30 years (another long story). Actually I don't have that many photos of me since then neither.

My kindergarten graduation photo is the oldest one of me (as far as in years since it was taken); the next current photo after that is was my senior portrait; next after that is my current avatar. LOL

But it has been fun to run across what photos I do have.

Okay, I came here to think. Gotta think.

Munchkin did his homework on our computer at home, and I emailed all the documents to his teacher. This is the teacher who has informed me numerous times that he didn't turn in his homework ... when I emailed it to her, on time, and so I have to respond by forwarding my previous email with the date and time stamp to prove that it indeed had been sent to her ... on time. This is the same teacher who doesn't always look through the turned in homework folder in her classroom before marking homework as being not turned in. This is the same teacher who is known by other parents to simply delete emails without reading them ... emails forwarding their child's homework, just like I do. This is the same teacher who claims she can't email information to me because she doesn't have my email ... nevermind the fact that we emailed on a daily basis, as agreed upon in a face-to-face meeting, listing the daily homework assignments. This is the same teacher who expects the kids to turn in homework that they all insist was not assigned ... and their homeroom teachers know nothing about ... then marks them all down as not having done their homework.

Oh my! This is a whole lotta stuff to have to think about ...

But, my predicament today is ... although I emailed the completed homework to her last night, and she said she got it, she now cannot open the documents. Although I've sent them to her in the same format in the past. And now I need to figure out how to open these documents on my work computer and convert them to another format and resend them to her.

And. It's. Not. Working.

Shar-Mar, I didn't know you had a desktop as well as your laptop. Would you believe I've never even used a laptop? I will starting next week, though. I'll be starting training at a new project here at work. And I'll be using a laptop. Again, . Oh, well.
