Just keep working on it. She'll get it, Kathryn. And I would not be worried about a spot of brown blood on Monday and no signs since then. Just mention it to the midwife. It could have been from the last time you were with hubby even if that was days before, since it was brown, KWIM? Maybe just overdoing it a little worked it out?

quote: Yeah, my friend is totally not one of those crazy bride type people. She just wants to get married and have her friends/family there. so what are the colors....maybe you need to make a carrier that matches the colors so you can carry baby down with you if you have to....that will keep him/her quiet!!! LOL I've already thought it...her colors are dark purple and silver. (subject to change) I'm already thinking little suit for a boy or a cute frilly dress for a girl! And yeah, I am sure she wouldnt mind if I had to hold baby during the ceremony, it will not be a super duper formal type thing. And her whole family knows me well so they'd just be tickled to have us there! And yes, hubby will definitely help, he'd even suffer through hair appts etc. Friend is a very sweet girl and I am sure she'll be "nice" on the dress choice. I did tell her it couldn't be anything backless or where I couldn't wear a bra (leakage and "size"). She just laughed and told me that she'd be sure to pick the lowest cut, sleaziest thing she could find. (joking of course)

As for Nadia, it's probably a good time to start teaching her to walk beside the cart since in a short while you'll have a new baby strapped to the cart and she'll be usurped anyways! (no offense Kim, but....) ok..so are there any "older" moms out there that find this statement to be funny? I personally like to strap mine into the cart as long as humanly possible so I KNOW they can't run off and me have to chase them!!! I'm not an old mom yet, but I feel like it! 6 siblings, tons of foster siblings, babysitting since I was 11! I would say it depends on the kid. With my 3 youngest sisters, the goal was to keep them in the cart as long as possible. I remember going grocery shopping with my mom, and I would push the cart with the three girls in it, and she would push the cart with food. Unfair at the beginning, but by the end I would say we were about even. quote:

I agree with Sarah, take Brian up on any offers of assistance...like back massages, breakfast in bed, etc. You obviously don't know my Brian. He did make dinner last night, though his first thought was "cereal for all!" LOL Donna, I think we're married to similar men! It's like pulling teeth to get a back massage from dh. I'm glad I'm not the kind of woman that gets upset about that stuff. Even in pregnancy, stuff hasn't bothered me. I just know how he his, he knows how I am, and we're madly in love, so we're good together. My US was ok. I had a student, who I didn't think was very good. I couldn't see well, and kept asking her to turn things. And explain things....I had no idea what I was looking at half the time. Hubby said he could see quite a bit. I would ask her to tell me what I was looking at and she would say it quick and move on. I kept making her go back and point on the screen and show me, but it was getting rather annoying. When the real US tech came in at the end, we got to see some good stuff then. Saw baby sucking, and got the nice bicep picture below. I have strict instructions to email that one to all of DH's brothers. Anyway, I'm embarrased about how disappointed I was at the US in general. Probably because I'm so into that stuff that I really was interested in EVERYthing we were seeing. But dh had fun, I'm over it, and we did get some cute pictures! Hey, PureJoy, you might want to edit your full name out if you care about such things.

Now I realize that he does care...he just doesn't do it in the ways I think he should. We're both growing and learning how to do this "marriage" thing. And I love that man with all my heart, even if he never ever brings me breakfast in bed. He does do a 30 second massage here and there...and I know I am loved. That's what matters. Nice ultrasound pictures! Your baby's foot looks just as big as my baby's foot. Sandy...your punishment for calling yourself a not nice name...you now must say 5 nice things about yourself.

Manda, I agree! Actually my practice doesn't routinely do them until you hit 40 weeks, but since they were concerned about my BP they just wanted to see if there was any "progress". Donna and Kati - I'm there with you in the DH department! LOL He loves to be massaged, but it's like I'm asking him to cut off his arm if I want one. Well, he's got some really good qualities, so I try to think on those things. Well, I don't know if she pushed him down even further during my exam (since she had to mash on the top of my uterus), but he feels even lower and he's moving around like crazy, and it hurts!!!! He keeps ramming me and sending sharp pains into my cervix and rectal area... I'm going to go lay down for awhile and see if he settles a bit. It doesn't feel like contractions, just his movements that are hurting...

Well...I'm still waiting for those five good things, Ms. Sandy. Or else we'll have to come up with them for you. Lily, try to focus on it as being GOOD pain, because it is! The more pressure you feel, the more things are probably changing in there. Baby day is comin'! Purejoy, my husband wears a 14 and he has a big head. But then, these big birthing hips have to be good for something, right? And um, you do know the baby's head is going to grow still, right? It'll be fine though. I'm sure of it. I just realized I am 24 weeks today. WOOHOO!!! I'm trying to enjoy this pregnancy, but at the same time, I can't wait to meet this little one. I'm also getting antsy to share what the baby is. Yes, already.

LOL...okay, you can live in denial. It's killing me not to share, but I know some of you have a good guess anyway, so that helps. LOL Besides that...I know better than most not to rely on ultrasound. Five good things about Sandy... 1) She is a daughter of the King...a Princess! 2) She is a loving wife and mom. 3) She knows where her strength comes from. 4) She is a great friend. 5) She is fun!

Erin, I tried finding pics of the maternity and regular bridesmaids dresses for my SIL's wedding, but they're not on there anymore. You'll have to post what dress you'll be wearing once they're picked out. How's the baby room coming? Do you have the furniture all set up? Yeah, I'll post pics when I see what we are getting. We'll go in a couple weeks to pick them out. We havent got the furniture put together yet, but the room is pretty much cleaned out, we'll probably get to that next weekend or so.
