Congrats, Jennifer!!!

As for those leftover newborn diapers...I'd give them to the kids and let them put them on dolls. Hannah has several NB and size 1 diapers she uses on her dollies.

I had Judah's preemie diapers out the other day, which he wore for a good chunk of the beginning of his life... they are all ready *just in case* this little one is so tiny (as are NB and size 1s!)
But man, I couldn't believe Judah's bum use to be that small... the diaper now fits his hand

On another note, last night it seems I started losing my mucous plug. I don't really know how much to expect, so I don't know if it is all gone or if there is more in there.

it will regenerate itself, so there is probably more to come.

prenat's....folic acid (as has been said, oh four times now I think) is the important one. I personally though can't take vitamins...they make me sick and my body can not process them...so I have never taken them with any of mine (well, I have tried, but that never seems to stick).

oh yeah...my kids have a few floating around too, but they aren't all nice and pretty and just out of the package...they are worn and well used!!!

baby furniture...if you plan on having more kids even if you do have a miscarriage, then I would say yes, get the furniture...although I am wondering why you have such a young one (2yo) and don't already have baby furniture...not trying to be nosy, just wondering. Or like someone else said, just save the money back...if you can't trust yourself to do that with it in your account then put it in en envelope and save that back.

Congratulations Jennifer!

Lily, yes I am getting quite close. I'll be first on the list once your little guy decides to make his appearance. I can't believe how fast the whole thing has flown by! These last few weeks are passing pretty slowly for me though. I'm just so excited to meet my little girl! My mom was born 3 weeks early and I was born 3 weeks early, so I was kind of hoping that this little one would keep the trend going but it doesn't look like she will.

One of my friends was due 3 days before me and she just had her little girl a week ago. It's wierd that she has her baby already. They are still in the hospital though because the mother is diabetic and the baby got used to all the extra sugar in her mom's blood, so now that she's born she has really low blood sugar because she's never really had to regulate the ammount before. She is very cute though and I just can't wait till I get to see mine!

Everyone keeps telling me that there's no way I'll make it to my due date. And that they won't be surprised if it's this week! I just say that that'd be nice, but I'm prepared to go two weeks over. I really don't want to expect that I'm going to have her early and then be really dissapointed if her due date comes and goes and there's still no baby. Beside there is a lot more stuff I'd like to get done before she comes. Hopefully I will finish most of it up this week!

My mom, aunt, grandma, and grandmother all had their babies at or before 38 weeks. I will probably be the one to break that trend.

People keep telling me the same thing, but I don't think I will be having a baby any time this week. I am trying really hard to prepare myself for going past my due date, but it is really hard. I hope he comes out soon. There are still a few things we need to get done, but I am in so much pain I can hardly move. I'm not able to get anything done and it is frustrating me.

oh yeah...I get that all the time...and I typically go 43 weeks without being induced!!!! It's impossible to figure out when the baby will decide it is ready to come. I agree..psych yourself up for a few weeks extra...then you can be encouraged and blessed to know you didn't have to rely on that strength if he/she decides to come earlier!!!

How is that hospital bag doing?

LOL - I know that wasn't directed to me, but I still don't have one ready!!! I'm 36 + 3 and figure at this point, they won't try to stop labour, so we'd have plenty of time to pack once I'm in labour I know, I know - bad reasoning. I'll get on it later this week!

Congratulations Stephanie and Jennifer!!! How wonderful that the list keeps growing

Adria - glad to hear that you're doing alright. I can't believe you're almost first on the list ... and I'm only due a week behind you. ACK!!!!

A woman from my church called yesterday to see if we were going to cloth diaper and if we needed more - so she's going to bring me a box of diapers and covers later on!! WUHOO! Sarah, newborn diapers are DEFINITELY the cutest thing ever!! I keep holding them up to my belly (like Stephanie's doing! LOL) - diapers an onesies. They're so tiny, but so big!! My baby's currently around 6 lbs in there, and I had a friend whose baby was 6 lbs at birth, so it's INSANE to think that my baby is about the size of hers when he came out!

I've got a m/w appt in a half hour. I think I'm having my GBS swab done (blech! ). I do love living this close to the clinic though! We only have to leave 10 mins before the appt is for!

ETA: About baby's deciding to come - we're focusing so much on getting me past June 4th (for my test) that I've kinda been psyching myself up to June Bug coming right after that I've gotta start saying to myself that by July I'll have a baby in my arms instead of "anytime after this Saturday", even thought that's true.

ohhh 2009 babies already! how so exciting!.. congratulations!!

I had my appointment this morning. i saw a different doctor this time...but I had seen her like once about 11 months ago to get some BCP... and the weirdest thing is... she actually remembered me!.. I was like wow...you see a million different ladies and you remember me from a 10 min visit... she said it was my distinct eyes?! I laughed and flickered my eye lashes at her! LOL

So.. needless to say.. I would be ok with her as well delivering my baby. She said baby sounded good and everything was fine. I always seem to think I want to stay longer with the doctor... but since I seem to be fine... my visits are always so short! which... in a way I am thankfull for! apart from the horrible sinus problems I have had... I really have loved being pregnant yet again.... this is not good.. cause my husband thinks we just have to keep going until I start feeling yucky during pregnancy! LOL... I think 2 is plenty... but NOW he wants a girl?!... like seriously... this one is not even out yet and he is talking about number 3?! LOL... MEN!

On the job front, he came home last night feeling really down and I made a very conscious effort to be positive and speak encouragement to him cause I hate to see him so down.. and the weird thing is... I felt good afterwards as well.. its like I encouraged myself and it helped me not have a bad attitude....

My MIL is still causing majour storms and has told my husband that she will not come to the birth of this child as I was rude to her last time. I was only allowed 2 people in the room with me over night.. and I definitely wanted my husband there... and so I had to choose between my mum.. or my MIL and my SIL....and of course I couldn't have my MIL without my SIL cause she is legally blind and can't do anything without assistance.... so.. since I wanted my husband.... she offered to go home with her daughter as they had just driven 4 hours from Boston to NY.... so i said ok.. so I would like for my mum to stay and my hubby. then at home the next day my MIL and my hubby had an argument... which when she came to visit me later that day in the hospital... claimed that the fight was MY fault?!.. i was like... lady.. I am in the hospital and not even in the same house and I CAUSED the fight?! anyways.....

I need to show grace .. I need to show grace... but it is just SO HARD!

Emily, I know how you feel. I'm in quite a bit of pain as well. I just keep telling myself that it will all be so worth it in the end! It makes me feel better to keep busy (mentally, not physically!). It makes the time go faster, keeps my mind off the pain and makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something. My DH was laughing at me hobbling around the other day trying to mop the kitchen floor! It takes me at least twice as long to do things, but they are getting done slowly but surely. And then I'm so exhausted by the end of the day that I sleep half way decient at night.

I love newborn diapers too! They are just adorable. I remember when we got our first sample diaper in the mail I just stood there and held it for the longest time just dreaming about my little one!

I just finished my sewing project! I made my own Moby type wrap. It wasn't hard at all all I had to do was hem it all the way around, but it took me a while. I didn't think about how long 5 yards of fabric is! Plus I've never sowed anything in my life, so it was qiute an accomplishment for me to do it all by myself! So now I have two lavender baby wraps all ready for when the baby comes. They are in the wash now. I'm still trying to decide if I should keep them both or give one away.

Now I'm off to pack my bag and organize all my baby stuff! I'm being quite productive today! I'm proud of myself.

Just popping in with a quick question, I've been gone from work so I have a TON to catch up on. I've been having some numbness and tingling in my legs and hips...is that normal or a sign of something "bad"? I also had my first leg cramp ever the other night, ugh, it work me up and my calf was hard as a rock!! Mom told me that she had then when she was pregnant and no other time.

Those calf cramps are the worst!!! I've only had a handful of them during my pregnancy, so here's hoping you won't have to endure many!!! Try upping your calcium intake =) As for tingling in the legs and hips, I have no clue!!

Thanks ladies- it is good to be back! Yolanda hunted me down and then the day after she found me the computer crashed and we were computerless for over a week, plus lost 5 months of pictures since they hadn't been backed up

I am so excited for all of you who are "ready to go". I won't tell any of you that you'll go early- too many people just put my sister through that- so much that she quit going to church, she couldn't take it any more. Then she ended up going over with no signs of progress so they induced and it has been a nightmare for her- praying that you all have cooperative babes that come out in reasonable timeframes!

M/W Appointment Update: My BP was 120/78, weight was 168 (28 lb weight gain), baby's heartrate was in the 140's, was head down (and apparently very low), and my fundus was meausuring 38 weeks. Ummm ... what else. I got to do my own GBS swab - which was nice that they didn't have to it anyways - and we talked a bit about pain relief and labour and such. All in all a good appointment and everything looks on track! My primary m/w put her guess in for an 8 lb 2 oz baby girl on June 10th She said she normally doesn't guess, but really doesn't think I'm going to go over my due date - although she admitted that she obviously can't be sure!

LOL! Not really. After I responded about Jael I remembered that after we had Hannah (#1), shortly after bringing her home we were talking about #2 (if we were to be so blessed...and we were ).
