She makes them in any color/pattern you want. I told her what colors I wanted and she chose the perfect fabric! It is my absolute favorite purse because it is the right size and it is so easy to find everything in it.

Solo- yeah, people who don't realize how good they have it can annoy me too. Just keep your distance and let things go in one ear and out the other.
Well both of our cars now need fixing. One of them wouldn't even turn over this morning, which is new. Fortunately they should be small fixes, and we have a friend who helps us. The problem with that is that he's really busy and we feel bad calling and asking him for help, but he always offers and tells us to call him back if we need anything. We do thank him profusely and pay him as much as he will let us, but its hard to tell where the line is between asking for help and taking advantage of.

Ugh...started checking out prices here for getting my wisdom teeth taken out. Its gonna be $$$ (no dental insurance). I was told that b/c they're impacted they will want to do a general anesthetic instead of a local, which pretty much lets out going to Mexico to get them done. The person who told me to go to Mexico told me that under no circumstances should I let them put me under. I did find out that at least one of the offices takes Care Credit, but we are already on a 12 month payment plan for the new AC unit that we needed, and I'd prefer to avoid another one. It may be the only way to get this done though.
Besides that, my big summer moneymaking opportunity is now up in the air. Mom is hemming and hawing about whether she wants me to go with them to the feeding clinic or not. She wants me to be able to put in extra hours when they get back, which I can't do for a lot of reasons that she's always known (drive time, my other work, etc). She knows we're getting very close to a deadline because they would have to find someone at work to take my place for 6 weeks.

 She keeps telling me how she needs a break, but she gives herself breaks every day to go out, at least to Starbucks. Aren't "outings" breaks? I guess I think I'm pretty fortunate to not be living in the streets like some women I've met...and they have children and no food/clothes. Of course I met them volunteering in a shelter (I mostly helped with the clothing/food and handing it all out), but I guess it changed the way I look at things. Not that that would solve everyone's problems, but I guess I see that I can be in even worse shape than I'm in already.
I have the rest of this week of school left, then one final next week and I'm done. I made a 99% on my last Spanish exam...but I think the final is going to be rough. I kinda wish I'd kept up with it when I got out of high school so it could be easier. For my bioethics final he's taking us to lunch (no test!), and I took that neuroscience final way back in January...and of course since I was auditing chem., I have to suffer through that one again, but maybe I'll suprise myself.
I hope everyone's doing okay tonight. I'm still trying to figure out what to do about my hair. It's still thinning and falling out...no matter what I do. I really hate weaves, but I think I might get one sewn in for a while to see if that helps (it might not).

It's not my computer, so I can't go doing things to it. That, and it's so old that I can't download most things now to keep it working properly. Internet Explorer works on everything else ok, just doesn't seem to like CW all of a sudden.
How's everybody doing today?

I don't have a problem with IE and CW. I usually come in through FCN- what porthole do you use?

Hi ladies!!!!!!!!!! I don't even know when the last time I posted was/what I posted or anything like that. Today has felt like it was like 2 days long, and I still have lots to do.
So my students have realized that school is out in a couple of weeks and their behavior has really changed. I had a hard time dealing with them today and was tired/stressed on top of it - so it was a long day. Then I am going with the youth on their retreat this weekend. I left right afterschool to go make the sandwiches for tomorrow. The person who was suppose to be helping helping me had to go get a couple of things so I found myself watching a couple of kids while trying to make 80 sandwiches. We got it all done, but it took longer than I expected. So now it is almost 8 and I still have to pack as we are leaving right afterschool tomorrow. And all I want to do is sleep. Guess I should get off, pack and then come back if I am still awake by some miracle.

Hi ladies...I've missed you all. Between rent time and my sinus and ear infection returning...the only time I've been on the computer has been to do work. Starting to feel a little better...and the biggest rush is over at work...so I thought I'd check in and see how everyone is doing and say hello.

I never used to have problems with IE and CW, but it's just started recently. It just will NOT let me in. Thankfully I remembered that I can use other portals. It won't let me use some, but thankfully it lets me use FCN.

I just went for how long I had to stay. I just had the one Spanish class left. (And finals start next week.)
They said he was in the bottom level of the commuter parking deck; I always park there but in the upper level. (It's the closest deck near the Sci. Building.) Apparently a campus safety officer was making his rounds (or whatever they call it), and he saw the man in the far corner...wearing all black. He said when he approached, the man waved the gun and jumped the railing, running away. They called some extra people to search and put the campus on lockdown for two hours, but really... how are you sure he's gone in two hours? I guess theoretically we can never be sure he's gone, but two hours isn't long enough. It's not a huge campus, but big enough to take more than that.
I guess even then there's only so much we can do to make sure a person's gone. There are places in the back of campus where someone can basically hike in, but it seems like even the most guarded universities here are like that. There are woods on one side. But I'm thinking if he was in the deck...in a corner, he was probably here for a reason. I can't imagine someone just doing that for no reason....unless he just waited there to scare a campus safety officer...but it was 5:30am and there aren't many officers there. I'd not expect to run into one at 5:30 in the morning. I think he was up to something myself.
I know a few times science professors have been held up at gunpoint for chemicals (so ppl can make drugs). I'd imagine someone would do that at night or very early. I suppose that could have been his motive (or to just get to some chemicals himself).
I think we need some more officers though. I think there are 2 on evening shift, 4 on the night shift, and 3 on the day shift. Campus has to be about 500 acres I think. People say they get bad pay so no one wants to do it, but if that's true (I'm pretty sure it is), then they just need to do without some extras ans get some more officers. We spend a ton of money on things we just don't need; the money could be used elsewhere. We just built a new gym for millions of dollars. There is nothing wrong with the old gym.

we had a security guard in college who set our library on fire. The purpose? To play hero, and look good for some girl as he put it out... unfortunately for him, it got out of his control, and the fire company had to come. Thankfully it was during winter break, so I wasn't there.
