I haven't set my acct. up yet for people to order online. I really need to since most of the people I know are out of the area.

That's what I hear, but it would take time away from here. LOL!

I used to sell Avon but found something that not only did I like much better, but the profit plan was better. I was on a team of "treandsetters" We sold two books ahead to see what the response was and that was pretty cool. Do you still have to pay monthly for the website? While I don't use the products, my mom still buys some things for my dad. Do you still have to have everything delivered to you and then distribute it? If you can have things go straight to the customer, I am sure my mom would order from you rather than someone she doesn't know. Not that she knows you, but I do and I believe that when you can help out another business like ours you should. My husband calls it the whole "woman's underground shopping network" LOL

I know that you are not out here to sell, but if you can send directly to the customer, pm me the info she needs.

yes, but the fee is waived if you have 2 people order through it each month (at least I think it's 2 orders per month)

No, you can have things delivered directly to a customer, but they will be responsible for the total shipping cost of their individual order, rather than sharing that cost. And they must pay for it when it's ordered.

I have 3 people who order through my site each month, so I don't have the fee (isn't it like $7.50 or something...)

When I did it, it was like 15.00 per book so like 30 a month. I didn't see a reason for that, and then we had to deliver the products. We didn't have an option to have them sent to the customer and they pay the shipping. That is one reason I stopped. Not only did I want a product I could use, but I also ended up wanting a business that I could grow. We have so many Avon reps in my area that it is impossible for me to walk a block without seeing an Avon sign in someone's front yard.

And we didn't get the site for free if people ordered off of it either. But at least it is better than it was. I did like ordering the things at the back of the books that weren't skin care or makeup. But for me, it wasn't worth it to keep for just that. So I would be happy to put that business elsewhere.

when you do, let me know. I want to get some stuff but don't know a seller here (well, I sold for about two months, so I know the district manager, but that's about it...and that only in passing). I will gladly pass the commission on to you though if I can order stuff online

I will let you ladies know.

Right now I'm having a tough time getting two orders delivered. They are to the pastor's wife and to his mom. Last night we were supposed to have Bible study at his house. I went over there and took every thing with me and found out that they weren't home. They forgot to notify everyone that they wouldn't be home. One of their kid's friends recommended that I leave the goodies there, but I've been caught in that trap before. I can't deliver it Sunday because I've been invited to a different church. It's pretty common stuff, so if I can't get it to them, I'm sure that someone else around here will buy it. Most of it's lotions.

If you're a new customer, you pay up front (just like you would if ordering from anywhere else) until I am comfortable with taking your order without payment. Usually just takes a time or two.

And, since you don't have to pay Avon until you go to order again (every two weeks) there is some grace in there to get payment from customers who are out of town, etc.

I just re-checked - as long as I have one person do an online order, the website is no cost to me.

That was a problem for me. I didn't like that we had to put our orders in every two weeks and books changed so often.

My business now is still skincare but we don't really have books. I mean we do have product guides, but for the most part everything is online and people can order whenever they want to. We have monthly sales that go out via e:mail or post card to customer and sometimes they do semi monthly specials. But other than that, it is very cut and dry. But Avon does have some things that I did like. Just not enough for me to want to keep it as a business. My mom was my best customer and she still asks if I will sell just so she can buy her stuff that I don't sell with my L'Bri. I have thought about it, but at the same time, she can do the same so I really don't want to. But like I said, if we can order via e:mail, I can do that when I need things, and so can my mom.

It's on the Avon.com website, but not on the Avon.ca website, and the .com website won't ship to Canada.

Do we stink or something?

That probably has to do with UPS more than anything.

Sweet, so if we order from there, we just have to pay for shipping too? But, you still get commission, right when we order from your site out of the area?

Yup- I get the commission, but I'm not sure about the shipping and how that is handled. Doinkdom maybe able to answer that.

yep, the customer pays all shipping costs, but you generally get your order within a couple days - they are pretty fast on the shipping and they package everything really well.

One of the daycare moms sells and we, my dd and I, bought the silver flip flops with the hot pink flower and the matching ring...we love them. We can share the same size.
