George Younce would be my hero. He never covered up his past, nor did he glorify it. He just said, "Jesus saves everyone. He even saved me."

if you ever hear the testimony before Please Forgive Me, will understand why I say Gerald Crabb. Group I have to say is Hopper's because of the song Jerusalem.

My hero in SGM is Jeff Whisnant.

We have worked with the Whisnants in a couple concerts. I'll never forget the time he took to sit down with us and just talk, answering some of our SG questions prior to that first concert with us.

I also remember walking up to him for the first time that night. I could feel a strong anointing just standing close to him.

Then a couple years later, our local singing group was contemplating a national release with their agency, UIA. Even though it meant losing some money, he gave us some advice that we needed to consider before taking that step.

And in reality, we weren't ready for that step.

Not to mention how much of a blessing I get every time I get to go hear them sing and from all the many songs of theirs that are played on the radio.

I guess one I could name right off hand is Kevin Spencer. He and his group come to our church every year and he is always real and genuine. I believe he is one of the most kind individuals I have had the priveledge to meet.

I've already answered, but I need to add one. Wendy Bagwell. He was such a genuinely caring man.

Mine is Roger Bennett. I know that's a shocker! LOL! I also like Vestal Goodman. The more folks I meet and hear in the SG industry though, the more I can increase that list! However, Roger will always be my favorite.

I have to say I don't have "hero's" in SGM or else where. But I've had the honor of being friends with almost all of the above. I've attended many funerals of friends gone on to Glory, and am honored to be able to still talk to the ones who remain! I've traveled many a mile to say my good-byes, and travel many a mile to now to get those sweet hugs & hear that sweet singing of those dear friends who still share it with us! Praise God for those that are still with us!
