ORIGINAL: fallenstar From the way I see it, God has a different way of worship for every name he is called by. God Allah (Some say this one counts, others would strongly disagree. Comment if you wish) Used by Muslims and Islam. Adonia-Hebrew word for God. (If I'm mistaken, correct me.) the Lord- same as God Jehovah- Jehovah's witnesses and mabye other use this There may be a few I have left out because I have no knowledge of them. I noticed that when different ways used to worship Him. Which name do you call Him by? The study of G-d is a long and complicated one, one worthy of all the time and effort it takes. He desires the worship of sincere hearts who worship Him in Truth, and the Truth is His Son, who said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." He also said that no one comes unto the Father by any way other than through Him, and all who come to Him must believe that He is and that He rewards those who seek Him. Regarding particular names, adonai is Hebrew for lord or mister. In the case of the Almighty, He is Adonai, Lord, and Master. Regarding the name Jehovah, that name was not used in the Hebrew tongue nor written in the autographs. It is somewhat of a historically contrived name which was used to take the place of YHVH, the ineffable Name of God. In some places, our G-d is called El; in others, Elohim. There are numerous other names for Him, but He remains the One and Unchangeable Only G-d who simply asks us to serve Him in spirit and in truth, in Spirit and in The Truth, through His Son. Not many ways -- one way.
