walkin2e -> RE: Bald men and facial hair ?? (5/27/2008 7:36:25 AM)

I'm bald and have a mustache...I've had a mustache since I was 19 (I had hair then, too). Started losing my hair in my mid to late 20s (hereditary on my mother's side). Don't like the comb over.

I never had real long hair (I was in the Army), and by the time I got out, I had no hair, but still had my mustache...which had nothing to do with being bald. I just liked one.

Ladies, Is bald attractive to you?

LOL...absolutely!!!! I am married to a soldier, so he can't have facial hair (well, he could have a mustache, but that would just look weird on him). He keeps his hair very very short though...usually about once a week he buzz cuts it to the skin then straight razor's it all the way down so it is smooth. I wouldn't mind if he did that every day, but he doesn't take/have time to do that. I like it when he does though!!! Usually it doesn't grow out too much beyond the "velcro" stage when he gets the urge to cut it again. (PIC of my two baldies...lol). My hubby was the one guy who showed up to Basic training though with long hair, and once he got it cut he has never gone back again.

ROFLOL....I agree!!!!

My significant other shaves his head with a bic every week. Doesn't even need to buzz cut it. Has your husband tried that? He goes through razors like mad, but he doesn't need to do any buzzing and it's faster. He was a soldier too. Marine. When he got out (12 years ago), he realized his hair was thinner than he thought and that's when he started shaving it.

his hair grows too fast Christine...if he did the razor every other day or every three days he could get away without using the buzz razor first, but only doing it once a week he has to get it shorter first. (He has very thick hair and a lot of it and it grows very fast).

Goatees seem more likely to be on men under 40 and full beards on those of us over 50. I think it's a generational thing.
