Made it back from dentist. He didn't pull the tooth, just did a filling to the one next to it. Told him I had never had a problem with the tooth he wanted to pull and I saw no need to pull it until I had problems with it. He just said fine.

Probably for the same reason I am.
I'm declaring my candidacy for president so I can outlaw Mondays once and for all!

Not even Congress can do that!
So are you saying you don't want to be Minister of Southern Gospel?

I wouldn't mind being Minister of Southern Gospel. I'm just warning you in advance that neither the President nor the Congress has the power to abolish Mondays.
So you're saying I need to choose a new platform?

Yep.

Like Shar-Mar, I don't want to do away with 1/7 of my life.

Good Morning Sam....Have you got over the jet lag yet. Haven't heard much from you since you returned....I saw several people wanting their present from you, I'm sure you brought them one. A wooden nickle is all some of them (NO NAMES) deserves.

But Bobby, you just got through saying you have a need money card. Why would you be turning down wooden nickels? And besides, you should think much better of yourself than that. Why shoot, I'd even give you a real nickel . . . if I thought you wouldn't spend it frivolously.

Y'all have most wonderful days today . . .

I'm going to hop on my trike and see where it takes me
(Considering I'm hungry, I'm sure someplace with food will be involved).

Be blessed

I am having a hard time adjusting to my time zone. At 5:30 when the Dutchess wants to go out it still feels like 3:30 a.m.

I consider myself lucky I got back with myself and Mrs. Qtman so I didn't bring any gifts. I guess I didn't realize how expensive everything out there was. They even wanted 16 cents each for coffee creamer at McDonalds.

You have to pay extra for creamer??!!! And at a McDonalds??!

May I take this moment then, Sam, to welcome you back to the real world.

Hmmm . . . although you did just give me an idea for the next time I have house guests
And I'm sure it could be converted to include sweet tea as well.

I'm afraid that will be happening everywhere, they will want to charge extra for anything they can. That way they will be able to keep their $1 menu.

Napkins - 5 cents each
Straws - 5 cents each
salt - 2 cents a pack
pepper - 2 cents a pack
Cups for drinks - 15 cents
bag for to-go items - 5 cents
mustard or catsup - 10 cents a pack
spoon/fork/knife - 10 cents each

UPS already charges 2 cents per staple used. Found out that last year when had copies made and stapled together.

Just looked at your Vegas photos. The place don't look like the same one we went to about 20 years ago. MGM was the only one I remember and that wasn't the same MGM I remember. I remember the one across from Cesars Palace (which probably isn't there now).

I agree with you too, SharMar. I love Mondays!

I loved them slightly less when I worked full time though, but still loved them.

No. The MGM has moved down the Strip. It is now across from New York New York. I can't remember what is across from Cesars Palace now but I have it somewhere.

I have to say that if Mondays were erased, we'd only start to hate another day of the week. Thus I say we keep it as hating Monday. Otherwise "Case of the Mondays" wouldn't exist.

The first or second year that Ceasers opened we had a meeting scheduled there. Myself and a fellow from Atlanta had reservations there and when we went to check in (It was very late at night) they didn't have common folks rooms left. They gave each of us a pent house room on the top floor. The room was about like a house. The king size bed was raised about three foot high on a platform with steps going up to it. It had one of those fancy covers over the top of it. Think maybe it was one of those rooms for millionaires to be in when they were out there gambling. We used to have a meeting most year in Vegas and I went almost every year up until I retired. We would occasionally have it in some other city but they would always return to Vegas.

It is a nice place to visit if you have never been. Now I have been and do not plan to go back.

Why? Is the chicken gonna be thirsty before you kill it? I never knew chickens drank milk.

The things one learns in this thread.

And I'll have you know that I did finally leave . . . and then come back.

And I determined that 6 bags of groceries (although not full) is a pretty tight fit for my trike's basket . . . not to mention it makes walking the trike up hill a bit interesting. oof!
