Good night, Christi. If you haven't done so, check out the birthday thread in case you can join us for the party on Saturday.

As I was praying this evening, I remembered that tonight 19 years ago was the night I (what the Pentecostals call) got filled with the Spirit. That is also the night that I say I got saved. My life began to change after that. It makes this week even more special.

Christi: I saw part of the Cubs game this afternoon, including the pre-game. Edmonds got a surprisingly polite reception from the crowd, and he singled his first time up. The announcers even said that big Z hugged him when he first walked into the clubhouse. They thought that was signigicant, considering the dust-up Zambrano and Edmonds had 2 or 3 years ago. They also interviewed Reed Johnson. I am not sure that he was overly happy, although he had the team spirit, because he will lose playing time in a platoon with Edmonds. They also said Ward had an ailing back and might have to go on the DL, even though he has a hot bat as a PH right now.
