Wow, has anyone seen Monument Quartet's latest lineup?

Is Darryl Williams the same one who used to have his own trio? Some Darryl Williams is now singing lead in addition to:

Tenor: Matt Felts (formerly of Skyline Boys)
Baritone: Marshall Pugh
Bass: Jerry Pilgrim (formerly of OTGH)

A FULL BAND:
Pianist
Bass Guitar
Utility Player
Drummer

Country or not, this lineup has me intrigued enough to try to see them sometime. When is the last time you saw a full-time male quartet with 4 band members?

Yes, it's the same Daryl Williams.

Dinana -> RE: Monument Quartet Adds Super-Members (5/6/2008 12:14:24 PM)

Very interesting.

I'm truly amazed at this lineup. ...now if they would just sing SG. [:D]

Dinana -> RE: Monument Quartet Adds Super-Members (5/6/2008 12:33:35 PM)

From their tour schedule, I don't know when I'm going to be able to see them.

Dinana -> RE: Monument Quartet Adds Super-Members (5/6/2008 2:05:27 PM)

I saw this posted somewhere else and thought I would add it here:

Alan,
The Daryl Williams Trio is still singing, although not as many dates as we
have done in the past. Karen and Shannon are not wanting to work a full
time traveling schedule at this time. Monument is only working about 100
dates a year. I can work their dates and still book the Trio out on
selected dates through the year.
Monument works primarily at Fairs and Festivals, and the DWT work primarily
in churches.

Thanks,
Daryl Williams

Yeah this lineup may be one of the best in SG. From what I gathered from watching their new DVD (with the old lineup), they still sing a lot of SG. On the video, they did a section that was SG and country and then they did a whole section of gospel. It ended up being about 75% SG which I liked. I am definitly going to ctach them this summer. I get what they are doing but I would like to see them at some Churches and some singings like "Singing in the Sun" and back at NQC. I can't wait to hear the sound of the new lineup.

The new additions are going to generate a tight blend. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to see them sing and play live...yeah, to live bands I sure do miss that in other groups.

Jerry Pilgrim is one of the best-kept secrets in SG. He's a very talented bass!

Yes ma'am. Let me get confirmation for the discounts and then we can go further. May be first of week before I know what they will be. But am working on it.

MsJudy -> RE: Monument Quartet Adds Super-Members (5/7/2008 11:05:39 PM)

Cool Beans! Just shoot me an email...........

goldcityquartetfan -> RE: Monument Quartet Adds Super-Members (5/8/2008 7:31:11 PM)

Who is Cody McVey? I am excited about this lineup. I am a fan of what they are doing but this lineup hints at still doing Gospel events. Are they?

youngartist -> RE: Monument Quartet Adds Super-Members (5/9/2008 7:59:54 AM)

Well supposedly their last dvd was 3/4 SG so I'm assuming they're keeping a good bit of Gospel. It'd be nice to see them do some church settings with that lineup. Regardless, they have sparked my attention and I may go see them in Delaware in the upcoming months.

Seaton -> RE: Monument Quartet Adds Super-Members (5/9/2008 9:01:05 AM)

It is great that every artist on the road doesn't have to follow the same mold/model as everyone else. I am glad they are doing something different and introducing a non Southern Gospel audience to Southern Gospel music.
