NASB is my main Bible. Grew up with an RSV, tried the NIV, and ended up with the NASB. It was a God journey for sure. But I just feel that the NASB is God speaking to me in a very clear and powerful way. So I've stayed with it. It is very close to the KJV but much easier to understand (IMO) and especially as we lose our literacy. So it's the one I recommend. But like BerianAardvark, I use many, many Bibles and the Amplified is probably my second fav as well. So I wish you joy in your journey to God! P.S. I like 'my' Bible so much that I decided to replace it and wanted the exact same Bible. I've looked for a number of years but think I've found it now. It's being shipped from London. (Used but unmarked) Anyway, I'm hoping it is just like the one I've used faithfully for the past twenty years.
