got this in email: Metro Prayer for May 9, 2008 The primary election will be held Tuesday, May 13. Please keep the upcoming elections covered with prayer asking the Lord to shower his wisdom and discernment over us as we make our decisions. Also ask that the Lord would protect what he has accomplished thus far in our city and to even exceed beyond what we hoped. Pray that godly officials will be elected. For more information on candidates and how they stand on moral issues visit: Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan. As this Sunday is Mother’s Day, please let it remind you to intercede for the single mothers in our city. Pray that they would be financially blessed and encouraged in their parenting. May the Lord provide caring people around them to provide support and encouragement. Pray Isaiah 40:31 over them…." Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary." (BILLIEFAN2000 side note: pray my friends Anna W. and Lindsay W. who are both single mothers, both come to know Jesus in their lives New Creations Inc. is a transitional living facility for those who are homeless, successfully completed a substance abuse treatment program, and ready to re-enter the community. The program provides a safe and sober living environment and Individual support and daily structure. Please pray for the leaders of New Creations and also ask the Lord for provision. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=23&chapter=140&verse=12&version=49&context=verse Psalm 140:12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted and justice for the poor.
