Nothing I have been able to find! The only programs I can find are Shoppers Optimum points or HBC Rewards at Zellers. But that can take a long time to build up.
Pharmaplus often does BOGO sales.

Do you have a Zellers near you? They sometimes put on good deals. When the P&G Brandsaver came out, they put most of their P&G products on sale and took the coupons of it. Then they gave you a $10 giftcard if you spent $25. It was a very good deal!

I don't think there's anything like it in Ontario.
I did send a couple ladies a link to a Canadian deals message board that lists deals and freebies and such... I haven't read it at all, so I don't know if it was good - who did I send it to? And was it any good?

How about Walgreens?

I took Judah out to CVS and Foodlion today and had a great trip .71 cents out of pocket for 3 packs of diapers and 5 tubes of toothpaste. I hate buying all this toothpaste - we have *tons* - but with coupons creating overage it makes other things cheaper and I always manage to have toothpaste coupons that will create overage.
I have given my family a ton of toothpaste... I should find a local shelter to donate to.

We do have some Walgreens, but not anything close enough to make it worthwhile to shop there. There have been rumors about our town getting one but the city council always shoots them down for some reason or another. Walmart is pretty much it here. One of the cons of small towns...

Hi ladies! Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day.

Mine was *nearly* perfect. We went to church, then went to the nearby animal safari and had a picnic and spent the afternoon. We did that last Mother's Day and had a great time. The weather was nice and sunny! The kiddos got to pet monkeys, snakes and kangaroos. It's a pretty cool place! Then we came home and started a bonfire and were working on roasting hot dogs and marshmallows when Isaac got kicked by one of the horses. It knocked him flat on his back. It kicked him square on his right hipbone. It took him a while before he could walk, at least a couple of hours. This morning he got up and was pretty sore and limping, walking with his right foot turned almost completely outward, and he also has a hoof mark on his hip, along with a cut where the hoof broke the skin. So I took him in to the chiropractor (where my mom works) and he took x-rays and saw Isaac's little hip was out of whack! He adjusted him today and we'll have to go back in Thursday and Friday as well. Isaac is already walking better, though. Kiddos are resiliant and elastic since they have all those growth plates not fused yet!

Oh, poor Isaac! Oh, that must have been so terrible! I just hate thinking of stuff like that!

Jessica, can you send me the Walgreen's tutorial too? I LOVE Walgreens!

If anyone has a Rite Aid nearby, every Tuesday most Rite Aid brand stuff is 10% off with your Rite Aid card.

and two consuming insane amount of batteries for all their noise-making devices)

We have found that rechargeable batteries and charger are a great investment. They cost more up front but we have quickly paid for ours in just our remote batteries and other such things. We bought a couple of "sets" of the sizes we use and keep one set charged to replace. Plus they usually have a quick charge for "emergencies".

you really have to know whether the items can use rechargeable though...most toys say not to use them for some reason (not sure if it's them wanting you to buy more batteries or if it's a real reason).
On that battery note though...a friend of mine back a few years ago...her mom asked her boys what they wanted for Christmas one year and they all yelled out BATTERIES!!!!!! So that's what they got...and they were all so excited....lol.

wow - check out THIS blog post about a woman who spends $150 twice a year on grocery items
I don't even aspire to be that frugal, however I think it's super she's able to, and thought some of you might find it interesting

Hello everyone and Happy Belated Mother's Day! We have been without electricity since 6 a.m. yesterday morning and it just got turned back on around 7 tonight. We had a tornado go through a city not far from us and it knocked our electricity out. The city is pretty damaged from what we hear so we are thankful that all we have had to deal with is no electricity. We were blessed to be able to take our stuff from our freezer and refrigerator to the youth room and put it in the refrigerator there. So we lost almost none of our food, some we did like condiments, but not a big deal. I have learned a huge lesson...KEEP UP WITH LAUNDRY! I had to go to my friends today to do a load of laundry, but I am grateful to have a friend who will open up her home to me like that.

I am really nervous ladies! I just got a call asking if I would do the scrapbooking class at the women's retreat this weekend. YIKES!!! Someone told her that I am really good (I am flattered by that) and she is in a bind as the lady who was suppose to do it is unable too. I am at a loss as to what to do for this class. It is only an hour long and I am basically need to come up with a project to do with them. I was thinking of doing something simple like the paper bag albums...that is scrap booking right? Someone help me because I have never shown someone how to scrapbook at all.

The paper bag albums are fun, or you could do a themed page, or series of themed pages although those are easier to do with pictures. What about making cards?

Wouldn't it be simpler to demonstrate scraping a page than assembling a paper bag albumn? I scrap, so if you want to PM me any ideas you have or anything, feel free!

I am waaaaayyyy behind on things today. hubby decided to go on the net last night and go to some motorbike pages and had all this junk popping up, including an antivirus warning so he clicked "install" and we got a major virus. I have spent the last 3 hours this morning on the phone getting it fixed, $140 later....
grrrrr

Check out THIS too - it's a calculator to figure out how much you as a SAHM is worth, but it gets specific (you enter how many hours you spend on various things, and the area you live.)
Super cool!!

Chelle - how neat that you were asked!! I'd be nervous too But that is such a great opportunity for you!
Are you suppose to take supplies for each lady to make something? What is the budget?
You could cover a few different aspects of scrapbooking - such as ideas on how to organize your pictures, "themes" for a scrapbook - I hear from a lot of new scrapbookers the thought of knowing where to start is thoroughly overwhelming! Also you could have a list of places you and those you know have bought scrapbooking items for a good price. Maybe provide a list of websites with scrapbook ideas for them to go home and look at.
But then you'll probably have experienced scrapbookers too, so you'll want tidbits for them as well.
Have fun!!

Thanks for the Walgreens info, Jessica! I love shopping there for non-food stuff (their food is expensive) but I love all Walgreens brand medicines and baby soap and diaper rash creams and stuff.

Nicole, do you run antiviru software? We can't really afford Norton or something really good like that, but we use AVG Free. it might be worth it to just have that on your computer. I couldn't imagine having to pay that much to get a virus off.

I'm still not smoking. The patch makes me feel like I'm satisfied like I just smoked, but the habit part is hard. It's like I finish loading th dishwasher, and I wanna go smoke just because it's a habit, or I get the kids in the car and I wanna smoke because it's a habit, not because I'm having a genuine craving. But, I'm feeling depressed because it's like I'm mourning a loss. It's weird. I'm hoping I'll get some energy like people are saying because I feel like I just wanna sit on the couch and watch Elmo all day. Thank you for asking, Zippy.

Christina- well done with the smoking, I asked in the old thread about the night time patches, I didn't think that sounded right, I didn't think you were meant to wear them at night, you are meant to give your body a break. How is hubby going with it?
We do have Norton but because hubby clicked "ok" to the virus it didn't matter if we had Norton or not

Oh yeah, I totally forgot to answer that. It is safe to sleep with it on, but it may cause nightmares. If you don't smoke in the middle of the night, you don't need it then, but I used to smke 1 or 2 in the middle of the night. Jimmy wakes up a lot and sometimes I have trouble gong back to sleep especially at the midnight and 3am feeds. I just don't wanna lay in bed and nic-out. Hubby is doing good too. The first day his patch fell off (difference between generic and Nicoderm) and we didn't have any tape. He was really grouchy and I wanted to punch him in the face. But, other than that, we've been good about leaning on eachother and not being grouchy.

ROFL laughing at the punching him in the face! I can imagine to both be quitting at the same time it would be good for the mutual support, but drive you both batty too! Will continue to pray for you both!

LOL at 'shiny freckles' Ryanne. That's hilarious. I hope he'll let you, you'd look wicked cute with your nose pierced
