With it being so close to the end, are you still certain you don't want your kiddos to know?

Did you post what you are having somewhere Donna. Or is that why Sandy wants to wash the clothes for you to find out?

Yeah, worth a shot. I thought you were already convinced of the gender of the baby though?

I am. Just thought it would be fun to be in the know for real...

Yes. Hannah will have the job of announcing what the baby is, and she is super excited about that. We didn't want to tell them and then risk being wrong like last time, so the reason to not tell them has not changed.

What Sandy said...she's ornery. Which is why we get along so well.

Well, Donna, you could let Sandy wash ALL the clothes and then you will be good either way.

Lexie I hope your nephews parents are able to listen to you guys and that he is able to stay with you a little longer.

Christina- quitting is hard, hubby took a few attempts to do it for good. Have you and hubby looked at that church he was interested in?

My friend is flying up for the day today which will be good, haven't seen her since Feb last year, so she is yet to meet Nath.

We have a very impressive T-storm going on. Power has been fluctuating, but the computers are protected. Nathan's baby monitor has been turned off, 'cause it keeps loosing connection and just beeping at us. It's okay, though; my softie husband has just gone upstairs to be close to him.

Aaannnnd power is now out completely, so I'm gonna wrap this up and shut down the computers that are now on battery power.

Yep, it sure is. I'm glad your hubby was able to quit. Do you think his grouchyness had anything to do with that, or has he always been that grouchy? Something to think about if he hasn't...makes it easier to forgive people when we know what's behind it.

We didn't go to the church yesterday because of the sickies, but we plan to go next week. I'm so excited!

Thanks Christina, I am proud of him :) Hmm his grouchiness is from a few things, but quitting def made him more grouchy and even now when he is highly stressed he can lose it more than when he was smoking but he is sooooo much better!

Well hope church is good next week for you!

Ruth - That sounded like a rough storm! Not long ago we had a storm come through and we were without electricity for a day and a half.

Nicole - That is awesome that your hubby quit smoking! I wish my dad would

Yup, the storm was impressive. I'm very surprised that Nathan did not wake up.

Well, I'm a little bummed. SIL called around noon to cancel our 3pm playdate. Apparently 3yo niece is not being a good girl today, and SIL didn't want to reward her with a playdate. Of course, this kinda punishes Nathan, too, since he really plays well with his older cousin, and it seems a little strange that the punishment is at least 3 hours removed from the crime. But a mom has to do what a mom has to do. Maybe she was just afraid that niece would be a little brat at the playdate, and didn't want to take her out in public the way she is now.

Oh well.

Bummed for ya, Ruth. I'm glad my sis & I don't consider getting the cousins together a formal playdate that is subject to cancellation by behavior...or we would never see each other, LOL!

At 3 years old she's probably old enough to be excited about something, and to understand the punishment. She's a rather bright child from you have said...

Oh, she's bright all right. I don't blame my SIL for enforcing discipline in her home. I was just a little bummed out.

Understandable. Can you go to the pool or something instead? Out for whipped cream?

Oh certainly we're still going out. One of these days I need to check out the aquatic center nearby, as we have no community pool.

We were gonna meet at the toddler gym. Nathan still gets a little overwhelmed there sometimes when a lot of big kids show up, and niece helps him feel more comfortable. On Thursdays there's a special hour for just 1 year olds, and he does very well then.

That's funny that you remember the whipped cream!

I wish we had a toddler gym here in our area, but it seems that everything is north of us near Atlanta. I have no desire to open my own business, but if I did I would definitely open something like a toddler gym.

How's that different than a community pool?
