And they don't. So they are being forced to remove that from their packaging. That's a silly lawsuit! Why didn't the other companies just start putting that on their packaging too?

Our itty bitty chicken company does. Well, I don't know how itty bitty they are, I just always assumed they were local or something.

Our water is off for at least part of today. My good husband reported water seeping up in our yard, which turned out to be a water main leak, which means that they are digging huge holes in our yard and our neighbors yard (and probably will not replace the grass). I thought Nathan would be a big kick out of all the huge earth movers that are on our street now, but he seemed frightened of them. Well, he's sleeping now, but before he didn't like them.

Strangely enough my neighbor's yard looks far, far worse. Their yard is covered with huge mounds of dirt, and mine isn't to terrible, and at least the hole is at the edge of our property. I kinda feel bad for neighbor that we even called this in.

Yes, but what would've happened if you hadn't called it in?

I slept horribly last night, so slept in this morning. As soon as my feet hit the floor, the power went out at our house (and the whole town...no idea why). It still wasn't on almost 3 hours later, so we loaded up all our fridge and freezer stuff to bring to my mom's. Didn't touch the deep freezer, so I hope that is okay. But I knew the fridge stuff wouldn't be okay much longer and couldn't bear the thought of throwing all that food away...so here we are.

I can't stand Tums...the chalkiness. I have texture issues with food and it doesn't take much for me to gag. I took a couple Mylanta gelcaps and some milk, but they didn't help much. I think I finally fell asleep out of exhaustion. LOL My town, the town I went through, and the town my mom lives near are all the same power company.

Maybe someone blew a local transformer? So, Donna has no power, I have no water, has anyone lost their natural gas??? I'm sorry for your poor night, Donna. I hope most of your food can be saved. After Nathan's fall I was concerned about him sleeping, but I just checked him and he did stir slightly when I went in. I think he's fine. dH got home after midnight last night, preparing for a big meeting today. I hope he can come home early today.

Hmmm...maybe I will try them. I can buy the big bottle because if I won't use them, Brian will.

A deep freezer? If you don't open it, and the power isn't out for more then 24 hours, I think you'd be okay. I really don't know, and you wouldn't want to open it up to check. It's like that darn cat, you can't observe the phenomenon without changing the conditions.

Ah, but you can't help thinking, if I'd only been right behind him, I could've caught him and prevented his fall. I am not an overprotective mom by nature. I feel he should climb and explore, but when he inevitably gets hurt, I feel absolutely horrible. Well, at least the construction noise outside isn't bothering Nathan.

I can't stand Tums...the chalkiness. Yuck, me neither. But I did discover the Rolaids soft chews when I was pregnant last time. They are GREAT! (kinda like a vanilla tootsie roll).

Actually, Chickens can have antibiotics. So advertising no antibiotics can be a differentiation between chickens. No hormones is a given. From the USDA site: quote:
No hormones are used in the raising of chickens. Antibiotics may be given to prevent disease and increase feed efficiency. A "withdrawal" period is required from the time antibiotics are administered before the bird can be slaughtered. This ensures that no residues are present in the bird's system. FSIS randomly samples poultry at slaughter and tests for residues. Data from this monitoring program have shown a very low percentage of residue violations. I've been out all morning and it is so good to be home!!

You're so funny!! I just went to Bible Study and to run a couple of errands, but I sure am beat! I wonder if I need some water or food. I had brown rice for breakfast and brocoli cheese soup with a pita for lunch, so I shouldn't be too low... it's not like I forgot to eat!

LOL Donna, fridge cleaning is the worst! Glad things are back on there. I have my little BIL coming tomorrow morning so I need to tidy the house up and get his bed organised. My mum is coming up Sat for the weekend too. I just remembered I haven't got hubby a anniversary card so I better do that too!!
