I have to give just a little background to the event around the next couple pictures....when we got to the beach to get the pictures of the Mighty Mac there was a big group of Boy Scouts there having a picnic. How nice. Well, move forward and after the pictures of the bridge I decided to get a picture of Singleton at the big lighthouse. As you can see in this first picture you can hardly see him....he's sitting on the lightpost... Singleton at the Old Mackinac Point Light Nice picture, but like I said, can't really see Singleton so I decide to zoom in a little on him. Just as I snapped the picture he got impatient with me and took a nose dive off the post....if you look closely enough he's still in the air close to the bottom of the picture. Singleton takes a nose dive Here's a cropped picture of the nose dive so you can see him a little better.... close up of the nose dive So....after I realized he fell and not realizing I got it on picture I ran over to him to rescue him and when I turned around to go back to my spot I see that I had dropped my camera case....which looks like a wallet. As I was walking to go pick that up, out of nowhere the whole herd of boyscouts are running to see who can get what they thought was a lost wallet....they were so focused on it they didn't even see me walking over to it and I could hear one say "wow...do you think there's any money in it" and another say "you won't know because I'm going to get it first" and just as they got to it I was close enough to break it to them it was just a camera case. They were all kind of embarassed and sheepishly handed it over to me. My sister was a little distance away and when she got closer she said "I think you were about ready to be robbed by a bunch of Boy Scouts. I got such a kick out of that whole scene. It was funny. We saw them later at a totally different location and when we saw them we kind of laughed and said "hang on to your wallets!" Anyway...I know, you want more on Singleton....back in a bit with a few more of our adventures of the day.
