Gah! I can't edit my post anymore! If a mod could sweetly edit my OP to add joy2give2u to the list with sept/oct by her name I would really appreciate it! Thanks!!! *huggles*

And he shalled be called..."The Mascot"

(capitalized as in a proper name).

Could always call him Scotty for an informal thing. We'd have to ask his permission though.

In the chat thread, I was joking with Robb about calling him "Mascot" by default, so how about calling him "Default"?

I think it sort of has a ring to it. Just an idea.

Uhh, that was you.

But I'm fine with "Junior". I got stuck with that nickname once (since I am one!)

That's scary, because that's one I did think of! But he seems too ummm, round to be a Poindexter. <Shrug>

I like the idea of naming him Adam! Adam Singleton!

Plus it goes along with his shirt. Adam was God's first friend.

Brought this over from the other thread.

Perhaps we should begin by picking his initials. That might help us narrow down the names... and then I can pull out my baby name books and pick a name for this "character"

I revisited the list and didn't see my name on it. Looks like my post stating my interest was overlooked during the initial naming excitement. Could a Mod add me, please? I'd love to show the Mascot around town and snap some photos.

That reminds me of Buster Poindexter, which was a name used by musician David Johansen who used to have a glam rock band called the New York Dolls.

There is a thread of logic there.

Time for some more photos! Took a bunch today. Here are the first few:

Riding in the new car

My building

Professor? I don't think I'm doing this right!

Superconductor in liquid nitrogen

See? The magnet levitates!

Be sure to wear your laser safety goggles in the lab.

Do I look cool or what?
