Mom has stage 4 cancer (lung and brain) and is suicidal at times. When she was in the hospital, the shrink recommended she read the Eckhart Tolle book, "The New Earth". Mom is "spiritual", and doesn't mind reading the Bible. However, she finds it hard to read anything these days - very tired, hard to keep track of what she's read, etc. I don't want to buy her this book, but am looking for a Christian alternative on audio. Please pray and please advise! Thanks in advance and God Bless!

I AM PRAYING FOR HER.

I THINK CHRISTIAN MUSIC WILL HELP HER. LET IT PLAY ALL DAY LONG SO SHE CAN ENJOY IT.

I PERSONALLY LIKE ERNIE HAASE AND SSQ. I LOVE THEIR VOICES. THEY BLEND TOGETHER SO NICELY.

Lord, please be with blf1963's mom during this time. Please keep her mind clear of any suicidal thoughts Lord, for we know this is only satan doing this. Please give her peace and strength during this time, if it is your will Lord, please please heal this mother, I rebuke this cancer that is attacking the bran and lungs, please just heal her Lord...Keep her calm and let her enjoy hearing the christian music and let her know that you are there with her at all times...

Father, Please guide this daughter to find a Christian alternative to the suggestion of reading material. Please heal this dear mother from the cancer and draw her close to You. Please strengthen the family in this trial and to You be the glory. In Jesus' Name Amen

Father these are the times where I dont have the words to express my comfort or love for these people.

Bathe them in your love and comfort them with your holy spirit.

Give the right words and timing to blf, let your spirit flow and conquer here.

If you can spend it, download the bible from Audible.com It is a real comfort.

The christian music idea is great, not sure if she is in hospice or at home, but you can stream music from this site. May God bless you and keep you.

Father,

Please it clear what is best for blf1963's mom. Help her in such ways that you will be glorified. Make it such that she will be in touch with you at all times and that she will be receiving your healing, mercy, grace and comfort. Thank you. In Jesus Christ's name we all are praying for her. Amen.

Here's an update: Mom's doctor believes there is more cancer lurking somewhere, so she's going to have more tests done later this week. She's getting weaker, and her doctor has prescribed home health care for her. This is a good thing, as my sisters and I have been trying to juggle our work and kids' schedules to help her out. I also suggested to my mom that she listen to/read the Psalms, as they are a great source of comfort to me. Thank you for your prayers thus far; I appreciate more prayers for my mom.

Lord please give this precious mother strength and comfort right now, please heal her from this cancer that is going through her body Lord, please!! Be with this family right now as they get the help they need to take care of her and having the home care she needs, please let the nurses be loving, caring and patient with her Lord...
