So, exactly why did you start this thread asking for our advice if you think we are all being evil, judgemental folks for actually giving you some?

you constantly misquote and take forum posts out of context, and then expect me to 'trust you' when you provide a random verse supporting your views. interesting.

and off topic...

for the purposes of this thread, we'll call them 'snars'

Your interpretation of scripture directly contradicts the letter that God sent to His favorite children.

Oh, you didn't get one?

I'm sure you think you are correct, but let me assure you of two truths. the first being, you are NOT correct, and the second one being, you are obviously incapable of thought.

There are some people who believe that the Bible is inspired in spots ... and they are inspired to spot the spots. Are you one of those?

I had no idea that you were such a good snarker. This is great!

Congrats on the snars, Phosy!

While reading your posts, my mind was whirling with questions that can all be put in one nutshell.

What??

You never found scripture supporting that I said, "_______________________"? Well of course not, I never said that so of course you never found me posting scripture to support it.
Or the short version..........."duh".

Oh, I see. You give no credence to the "wisdom of men" however, we are supposed to accept what your wisdom tells us is the correct interpretation of these verses.

Um, what's wrong with this picture?

But really, is this entire thread going to be made up of my defending everything I say?
Isn't that part of the beauty of threads . . . that people can actually go back and re-read posts as they were made and in the context to which they were made?
I actually did post the above.

I wanted to continue with this (but didn't):

Granted, that actually presumes that one can (a) read, (b) comprehend and (c) understand the meaning of "context." Apparently, you haven't mastered any of those skills yet.

Wow. for a minute I had forums blur and forgot where I was, and I thought "wow, I've never seen Lioness so mean, who is she responding to?"

You were so convincing, Lioness!

LOL!!!

This thread is dangerous for forums blur, isn't it Kath?!

I must confess that I have not quite fully reconciled how I feel about this thread.
I actually had unsubbed and then subbed back (well, ok, I've done that twice so far, since it's creation).

But, on the other hand it's like therapy in here! LOL (That's a good thing)

And it also helps me to then refocus and to pray for whomever I'm irked with (and also to pray for my attitude as well).

The nice thing about these forums is that you can "take your ball and go home", and we can still continue playing. You cannot make us stop talking about the topic just because you don't like what is being said... even if you DID start the thread.

So, if it's "biblical", how come you can't give us where it says that in Scripture?

And it's counterpart

"Is there anything that you think is a sin?"

I'll admit I'm not normally snarky. I get to the following point far too easily (on this board at least because I expect higher standards from Christians)

"I'm sorry, but obviously we don't read the same bible and our views are not reconcilable. Blocking you. God bless you and have a great life."

No. I may be disappointed a lot, but I'll still expect highly.
