To whom it may concern:

Hi this is my first time here, let me introduce myself, I am a 35 year old female; I came to this web site because I am seeking to recover from abuse, I have allowed the en*my to come into my life and allowed him to verbally abuse me, accuse me, and curse and even try to get me to the point where I thought I could never survive or turn back to Jesus. I have lost my freedom, my apartment that I had for eight years, and my belongins, I now live with my mother, brother and sister where there is no peace and quiet, I do not have my own room, and I cannot listen to my bible on CD, unless no one is home or they all go to bed. I have been through a spisirtual battle for eight years and it never seems to end. Sometimes I feel like I have lost my salvation, I feel like I have lost Jesus, because of my sins, and because I allowed so many dec*ivers to come into my life. I once heard from Jesus, but I hear him no more. All I want is peace and quiet in my life, some healing and a little love. I feel like I have wasted so much time because I believed in lies, lies that are not true and they are not of God the Father Son and Holy Spirit. I wish that I could become the woman God wants me to be, right now, because of what happened I feel lost, confused and lonely. I was told that Jesus never wanted to forgive me, or that he never wanted me, ........and then I was told that i was not allowed to cry or cut my hair, and Jesus supposedly told him this.........and of course, I lost everything. I even went nuts for a while, because I was threatened, I felt like I went through a roller coaster ride with someone who was suppossed to be a christian, but winded up being a dec*iver.........

Don't let the words of anyone deceive you, you CAN know that you are saved. Read the book of 1 John; it's a very small book and a very encouraging one. (Go to a library, or a park if you have no peace at home) You KNOW that you are saved if you keep His commandments - you know you are saved if you continue in the faith. Your desire is to be like Jesus... It's really fascinating to hear how truely excited that John was when he wrote that book.

Everyone has a past. I don't know your specific situation, but I DO know God. And I know that if you have seen yourself as a vile wretch becuase of your sin, and you daily do whatever is necessary to remove the practice of sin in your life, and your life's desire is to be like Jesus and you believe that Jesus is God and is the Christ, then yes you are saved! You do not look for a sign, you do not look for a feeling because both of these can be deceiving - you stand on the ironclad, rock solid, and immovable Word of God. When John wrote 1 John, speaking of salvation he said: "I write these things so that you will KNOW..."

Your situation sounds rough, but look at Esther when she was faced with a decision that could cost her very life, her uncle said: "Who know but that you were placed in that situation for such a time as this." In other words, we can look at our lives as being a tragic thing, but since we can't see God's greater plan for everything, how do we know that this situation, bad as it may seem, might not one day work out for our best? "And we know that all things work together for good, for them that love God."

God is God, and He has providential power over everything that happens. Therefore whatever happens, happens because of His will, and there could be no better way for things to happen than in His providence.

You concern yourself with God's will, and He will concern Himself with your care.

That is simply not true. Jesus does want you, Jesus does forgive you. If you have repented of your sins and confessed your belief in Him, you have been forgiven. You don't need to take anyones word other than the one who sits on the throne. Our walk is difficult, especially when we are surrounded by people who tell us things that are simply not true.
Jesus loves you, more than you could know, so much He was willing to die just to have a chance at being with you for eternity. Let Him heal your wounds, and tell you how He feels.

I've been there, too. Just keep your eyes on Christ and follow Him in obedience. It gets better over time and as you process what happened and learn from what happened. You can learn to make better decisions and recognize a deceiver/ abuser before you get involved.

Put on the armour every day which is in the book of Ephesians 6:12-18

You can not change what had happened, but you can change how you go on from here.

As someone mentioned 1John, remember 1John1:9 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from *all* unrighteousness.

Be gentle with yourself and stop blaming yourself.

I also believe you should check out a few books and rediscover yourself.

It is actually not mine. The book is helping me alot and the people on the website are safe I hope to do the book study with some abused women someday soon.

I have had to live in close quarters also. Try to find a peaceful place like a park and use that place to study the Word of God and to look at His
beautiful creation. Don't worry about the past, things will be OK. Just keep your eyes on Christ. He loves you.

I suggest you go to the library or the park. As far as you christian music, try to get a MP3 player, they are on sale all the time. You can download all your music on there. If you can't afford that then purchase a portable cd player. Pray for a closer walk with God and believe it and it will be so. There is light at the end of the tunnel. It is the light of the Lord, so rejoice.

I know what it is to be in the midst of a living situation totally out of your control and disruptive to peace and devotion. I don't know everything about your situation, if you're able or not to find a safe place outside the home. If that's the cases, please be encouraged by this passage.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the following passage was written by Paul when he was in prison...


Philippians 4:10-19
10 I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. 14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid again and again when I was in need. 17 Not that I am looking for a gift, but I am looking for what may be credited to your account. 18 I have received full payment and even more; I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. Comments:
I think verses 11 & 12, "the secret of being content," point to verse 13: I can do all things through CHRIST. That's where Paul's strength comes from. I imagine you're probably quite grateful to have a place to stay, but frustrated with the environment. I'm not trying to say you aren't content, but encouraging you to concentrate on Christ, and on what you can control: yourself.
Verse 14, regarding sharing troubles...it's good to allow your Christian friends, the Body of Christ, to share in your troubles. It blesses the body to do so. Posting here, getting encouragement & biblical guidance is great!

You ARE the woman God wants you to be - because you are not letting go of His hand. No matter what has happened to you or what you have dealt with in the past and what lies Satan and his helpers have told you - you have risen above all that and still been led to this site and to a better life with Christ. Stay strong and dont and i repeat DONT ever believe lies of the enemy.
