Ephesians4_32 -> House of Yahweh Cult in Clyde, Texas (5/14/2008 10:07:53 AM)

THIS CULT has just made the news. Arrests have been made, charges of sexual abuse, and some children have been removed.

The House of Yahweh compound is about 120 miles northeast of the FLDS ranch.

News:
CBS

I just read about this in this past Sunday's "Dallas Morning News"....

very odd.

what is it about TEXAS?? we had the Davidians in Waco (shortly before I moved here)....FLDS people....and now this group....

it's a whacko-magnet!

Texas is just big, so there's more room for whackos, thank you very much. [;)]

I suspect, now that the FLDS compound has been raided, authorities will be a lot more proactive and on the lookout for anything weird.

I don't think Texans have anything to do with it. [&:] Perhaps outsiders think there's enough space between settlements that the authorities won't notice what's happening. I've been to Texas twice and there are some pretty long stretches of road! I'm a descendant of Thomas Mays who fought at San Jacinto! [:)]

that's what I was thinking.....so much "open land" and places that are "out in the middle of nowhere".....

plus, out there....people pretty much keep to themselves....

unlike here....in the "big city" of Dallas....

I had some of their literature put through my door one day. Could tell they were weird just from it, but didn't know they were this weird!

Yes, I had looked that up a couple of years ago, and it sounded bad, but I never realized how weird or that it had so many followers.

This just points out the great need people have for answers. So great they will look anywhere for them...and its an indightment ( sp ) of christians as to why they are not looking for answers in our churches.
