anyway, I never said the whole town was racists and I never said it was in the south(even though it was). I never said racism exist on a whole with a group of people, but there are many, many individuals who will still remind me or any other African American that it still exists.

And do you think that blacks that hate whites are not racist?

Thanks
RC

any hate toward a certain group of people because of color is racists, but I think some of my people who have hatred toward whites stems from unresolved tension that dates back for decades if not a couple of centuries of violence, hatred, and betrayel. History shows that I should be angry and I should have resentment, but I don't. The only resentment I have is that people don't recognize that these events occurred and that this people of color vs. white conflict could be somewhat resolved if points of view and people experiences is not marginalized to overreacting.

So what about the black on brown crime .... do your people (i'm using your word) also have this unresolved tension that dates back for decades of violence, hatred and betrayl from the "mexicans"?

Oh I think my brain esploded.

Yes people have made comments that blacks resemble monkeys. And yes, there are people who are racist. There are all types of people everywhere. There are all types of discrimination as well.

Race, sex, body size, sexual orientation...*sigh* the list is so long.

Do I find the shirt to be racist? No. I don't. Do I see why people could find it racist? *shrug* Sure. But that's their choice. If we spend our time worrying about what is racist and what isn't, the next thing we know is we're going to grow old and bitter and wonder what happened to our lives. I surely don't want to waste precious time worrying on whether or not someone is being racist against me or one of my children. Life is too precious and quite frankly I have my eye on something greater and more magnificant and nothing can deter me from this.

*huggles*

You know, this whole thing reminds me of an incident in my father's past. Especially when the gentleman posted earlier of his father punching out a store keeper.

My father was the foreman of a group of servicemen at an Atlanta utility company in the late 70's. He was talking to a young black serviceman one beautiful Atlanta morning about the weather and made the comment, "Boy, it's just a perfect day to be working outside!" Well...the young serviceman filed a grievance with the union, stating the my father had called him "Boy" and that it had offended him as a black man.

Does that sound a tad bit sensitive to anyone else??? And, after this young serviceman told the other black servicemen his story, how do you think they saw my father??? How do you think they treated him??? And just how do you think my father viewed black people after that incident??? Well, I can tell you how he treated them...with kid gloves, just the way they wanted him to.

Folks are just too sensitive, way too sensitive.

You're absolutely right. And I'm sure you're not one of the ones who got personally offended by Obama's "bitter" comments, were you?

Since I don't bother listening much to the man, I missed those comments. Were they intended to offend half the populace?

Though I'm not a Pennsylvanian, it made me proud to be a bitter American who clings to his religion and to his guns. I thought B Hussein O's comments were hilarious. Something struck a nerve with him and he spouted off.

Only that Osama was absolutely wrong in his assesment of the situation.

I cling to my Faith, because there is nothing else to cling to besides Christ that is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

I "Cling" to my guns, because our constitutional guaentees us the right to do so.

I do neither because I a bitter, for I am not bitter about anything. Since clinging to my faith I under stand that

(Php 4:11) Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

It would seem that Obama, Wright and the other Black Liberation theologist could lean a thing or two about that verse.

Thanks
RC

And is it possible that you are "absolutely wrong" in your assessment of this situation?

Of course not, what was I thinking.

What if I were to say that Obama, like the Curious George T-Shirt salesman, didn't say those words to intentionally offend anyone and that both were wrong (unless you believe that Barack Obama IS an ape, or descended from one). Yes, you insist Obama does look like Curious George, but that doesn't make you right. Any more than it makes it right for those who agree with Obama's remarks and stereotype all Western Pennsylvanians as ignorant hicks who are out of work so they blame the Mexicans, hunt varmints, and to church just to drown their sorrow. How would you like it if you had a child or a grandchild and he/she came home crying because some kids claimed he/she looked like porky pig? And when you called the teacher to complain, the teacher said, "Well, you have to admit, he/she does look like porky pig. You're just too sensitive"

I know Obama is a grown man, but your attitude is still childish, if not racially insensitive. But some people will never understand that until it hits home. So if you still feel that Obama looks like an ape and thinks it's humourous and you encourage your grandchild to have the same atttitude toward people...well, just hope it never hits home.

His bitter comments only show his elitist out of touch attitude with most Americans.

I am not so sure he is a grown man, since he has such a childish fit when anyone challenges him on anything.

Sound like kids at a day care screaming, "It's mine, it's mine".

But that is just my humble happy content opinion.

Thanks
RC

Julius, wow that was harsh, to pastor RC. I know this is not my business, but, well you are always pretty much kind to others, and it was shocking. I have seen no one wear the silly shirt, and well if they do who cares red necks live. I think CG is very adorable, but would not wear a shirt with Obamas face implanted in CG, that is freaky. I will look and se if CG looks like Obama, if so, so what? My daughters were playing with photo shop deforming my photo, like Richard Nixon, (they think I look like him), I do not know why?
My own girls mind you, made a photo of me with my hands doing peace sign saying " I am not a crook!" I have heard black people called monkeys, it is so sinful to say those things. I have also heard asians called monkeys. I keep a baby who is a quater Korean, she runs after me with her fat arms everywhere I go, wanting me to pick her up. I have said " No monkey", not meaning she looks like one. She is a big doll, I quit saying it because. in my ignorance, did not think of asian monkey association, until this thread.
My husband named Frank, has a huge chest, arms and looks like the ape at Chuckie Cheese. When his cousin was little, we had my oldest daughters third B-day party at Chuckie Cheese in Raleigh, NC where we lived at the time. The big Gorilla was palying the drums with the rest of the band. Michelle, ( his cousion) age four, was terrifed of monkeys must have noticed the uncanny resembalnce to my husband of the big Gorillia, ( truth), anyway she would not come into the house. She stood outside the door and crying saying " Frankie is a big monkey" it hurt my mother in laws feelings. My husband thought it was funny, and still laughs about it. If Obama looks like CG, well thank goodness it is not Richard Nixon, because CG is innocent, and cute, and well like I said it is not Richard Nixon.

Julius, do you think that Obama's movements, swinging his arms, his hair line, and his ears resemple Curious George?

The fact that you are asking this obnoxious question simply demonstrates how ignorant you are as to racist stereotypes.

But then again, this is coming from the same person who called black people "negroids" on this same thread.
