ORIGINAL: cow451 I would give you a history/sociology lesson, but it would obviously be pointless. You know far too many folks are way to sensitive and wear their feelings on their shirtsleeves. This victim mentality that many have is just down right overboard. When George Bush was running for President there were many t-shirts with the Mad Magazine character Alfred E. Newman on them with President Bush's name. You did not see the Bush family getting all defensive and hollering poor ole me about it. Jeeeezzzzzzz. Obama seems to be just what the liberal demokrats want; an over-sensitive, self-loathing, arrogant, eletist, pro gay marriage supporting, abortion promoting, USA hater. Thanks RC I agree. I can envision 4 (or [shudder] 8) years in which any criticism against (the now) Sen. Obama will be attacked as racially motivated. There's a member on this board that I've long respected, admired, and liked that seems to now consider me a raging bigot because I dared to use the word "token" (as in a token visit to WVA) in a post. Then, when I tried to apologize and insist there was no racial intent, I was blown off. I fear for any progess made in this country during the last 40-50 years if this man is elected, a man who is at least as left as or more so than Ted Kennedy - and Kennedy is a man I would never vote for and for the same reasons, none of them racial.
