ORIGINAL: AdamEdwards Oh yeah....be sure to change the 'Setting' option to custom and select the highest bitrate possible (320). I have heard that this is bogus. I have been told that CD quality is like 128 and that anything over that is just overkill, since it's above the source quality. How true this is, I dont know. I have just been told that all it does it makes the file bigger with no quality enhancement. You heard wrong...it makes a lot of difference. Ok, fair enough. That's why i said, I wasn't sure how true it was. I would think that matching the bitrate that Cd's are produced at would be optimum. Do you have any idea what bitrate CD's are produced at?? Common sense would tell me that if you select a bitrate higher than the source, then that WOULD be overkill.

Can you tell the difference on a car CD player or does it require a good set of headphones to hear the differences? Where do you notice the enhanced quality? Highs? Lows? Thanks for your help. John
