WILL YOU TAKE FLIGHT?

I know everyone may not believe in the Rapture or you may believe in it just do not agree on the timing.

I want to set aside the differences and ask a simple question. This may be a short-lived thread but I would appreciate total participation from everyone including the lurkers.

If the RAPTURE happened while you are reading this, would you go or be left here?

You may answer with yes/no, I'm not sure, I do not accept it, or I do not wish to answer.

Please give short reasons for your answer. I am looking for total honesty not a great RAPTURE or tribulation debate. That belongs in the theology folder. Thanks!

"what if"..............................................the rapture happened today

I put my faith in Christ, and I will follow Him, I will believe in Him, walk in His ways, live one day at a time (as He has instructed) Knowing that my life is hidden in Him.

and that should cover all of the "what if"s

I trust the "Word" and draw my confidence from it.

I wholeheartdly beleive in the Rapture of the church of the living God.

So far, 43,000 have died in the China earthquake. I've read about many warning signs. days before the 7.9 earthquake, a man posted a warning about an earthquake on May 12th. Seismologist witheld information about readings on their equipment. Animals went nuts preceding it.

I not only believe that we are seeing warning signs about the coming Rapture, but I believe I will get to experience it.

What is most important is that I must be ready and I must know the requirements for the most important flight man will ever experience. What prompts me to want to be ready is the thought of it actually happening and alot of people that I know are gone and I am still here. I cannot imagine knowing what I know mentally and spiritually and not going in the Rapture.

I won't be left behind[:)] If we are sure that we won't be left behind, don't you think it is important to tell others why we won't be left? Maybe there are some here who don't know how to be ready. If that is the case, let me just say that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life and NO ONE goes to the Father except through Him. If He is not your Lord and Savior, ask Him TODAY, right now, this very minute and be assured of your departure[;)]

Yes, I will go. I know in my heart.

His word says that if you believe in your heart that God raised His Son, Jesus Christ from the dead, and confess with Your mouth the Lord Jesus, you will be saved.
It also says, not by works. It is the gift of God. So there is nothing I can do to earn it. It is a gift. And I thank You and praise You for this gift, dear Lord. And I accept it.

Yes, I know. And the way this world is, all I can say is come Lord Jesus.

I believe in my Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart, all my might and all my soul. I read His word daily and obey. In the words of the song:

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the pow'r of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand.

However, I must admit that although I believe that I'll take flight, I'm not as assured as those who have posted so far. I guess I relate more to this verse:

Luke 18:10

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Pre tribbers believer when rapture happens that we will Rise first in the air with Christ.

Yes. Noah knew that something was going to happen, and he told those of this event and they didn't believe him, so we are in the same event happening, in that Christ is coming back and not only should we tell others, but we need to wake up.

I've tried to imagine the prerequisites for a Rapture canidate.

What is on the list that God checks off? I've always heard that if you are sitting in church on Sunday morning and IT happens, well over half will still be sitting there.

No.

There have been much worse disastors in the world's history that did not usher in the end times...much much worse.

To every non-christian, when you start talking about the world coming to an end you look like those nuts carrying those signs around...ya know? Thing is, you don't know when Jesus is coming back anymore than He does.

Odds are we will die before we are raptured.

The tribulation isn't for us anyways so the only reason to tell people about the tribulation is so they will recognise what is going on when it comes and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord. Going around all doom and gloom ain't gonna win too many converts....ya know?

What is on the check list?
That your faith is in Christ Alone!
If you know Me, you know the Father, if you believe in Me, you believe in the Father, if you've seen Me, you've seen the Father!

Faith is in what Christ did alone for us.....

The only rapture that I have seen (of course the word rapture is not used in the bible) is: Enoch- he walked with God and was no more. Eliza (sp?) was raptured in his chariots of fire. There may be others but off the top of my head these two come to mind.

I believe the ones left behind has to do with what they believe. Some folks believe that they will be lifted immediately (pre trib) then the other believer believe in mid-trib (after 3 1/2 yrs of the 7 yr tribulation) and then the end time tribbers who believe they will be lifted at the end of the 7 yr tribulation. So that could explain why only some of the church members are left. It is what they believe to be true for them.
