Hi there! I did not vote in your poll because my category was not there. How about: I don't care about rising gas prices/ Does anyone really expect them to get lower? They just rose a little more quickly than expected. I go where I need to go like I always have, I go on pleasure trips like I always have...I had my summer holiday and drove there....not far mind you...only about 300 miles. Spending a few more dollars on gas does not upset the apple cart. I just don't care. Yours for indifference to gasoline prices, Sudden

Our car got siphoned today. Thankfully it was "only" 1/2 tank of gas. They drained it dry though- DH had to call AAA to bring him some gas.

I have had to allocate more into the gas fund, and less into savings. But like suddenly, it has not been a huge issue. I don't have to get a locking gas cap, my Toyota has a locking gas flap that covers the gas cap. So for them to get to the cap, they are either going to have to damage the car or break a window. Something most gas thieves are less likely to do, they will just move on to US made cars without the flap. I really like Japanese engineering.

Oh and the post says "$.19" a gallon, not 1.19 a gallon. So it would be natural for someone to think that person was REALLY OLD. .19 a gallon would have been in the 50's or 60's I think BEFORE federal gas taxes got outrageous. Oh and did anyone see the "Fuel me once" stoplight edition?

My oldest was born in December '98. I have it marked down in her baby book that gas was .75/gallon. Sigh. I filled up at $3.66/gallon Friday. Better than it's been, certainly, but still sad when a tank of gas (into a midsize sedan) costs just a few dollars less than a week's worth of groceries for a family of 5.

It's upsetting our "apple cart" for sure. However, it's down to $3.55 here now, fell over the last week or so from right at $4. Helps a little. I remember in high school (mid-late 90s) gas being well below $1/gal. *sigh*. Ah, to be able to go anywhere on $5 worth of gas again . . . . . LOL

actually I bought milk up until a week ago for under $3. It went up to $3.09 this past week. But I still buy that too. And it goes probably just as fast as the gas goes. Blessings, Garsy
