Lioness: I found the following on the web. It clarifies why you did the right thing in using the semi-colon in your sentence. In short, you combined two independent clauses to indicate a relationship between them. "These two clauses could be separate sentences: "Mary drives a Mercedes. Joanne drives a Chevrolet." However, when we use a semi-colon, we are usually suggesting that there is a relationship between the sentences, but we are not making that relationship clear. Usually, you can tell from the context what the relationship is. In the example above, the relationship is probably CONTRAST; we could also use "but" to make this clear: "Mary drives a Mercedes, but Joanne drives a Chevrolet." When we use a semi-colon, it is often because we want to make the reader think about the relationship for herself. This is useful in many situations, such as when writing cautiously, ironically, or humorously." besiderself

And don't correct this grammar I'm too tired to think.

Quirk time. While at Disney this past year, I worked on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride for about 6 months. Even after working that ride the entire time, I still have yet to see Pirates III. Several moons ago I worked at Islands of Adventure (Universal) at Jurassic Park. I had seen the second movie "The Lost World" but after 2 1/2 years of working with the dinosaurs (it was an acting role), I didn't see the first movie until long after working there.

Quirky.........I talk to animals. Not just my dog but other animals as well. As a child whenever things got bad at home I would go to the pasture and talk to the cows.........they knew all my childhood problems.
