Hangars? That's airplain talk! [:D][;)] Besides that's not a quirk. That's purely normal!

You are a perfectionist……you put way too high of expectations on yourself, no, not a garden variety perfectionist, you leave 0 room for error..and though you talk about making mistakes.....I think you despise them in yourself. I think you save your mercy for others.

Just an pure speculationeducated guess.

Missed on this one. I cut myself way too much slack.

Okay, does anyone else actually change the direction of a TP roll at someone elses house?

No. That's...um....really quirky.[;)][8D]

I have issues with writing in or marking up books or Bibles. It's more like a neurosis than a quirk actually.

But, with the help of several online counselors (you know who you are[;)]), I'm working on overcoming this.[sm=icon_smile_super.gif]

I am sure that not all quirks are neorosis, but a neorosis can be a quirk.[:)][8D][:)]

No. the quirk is writing in the book. Why deface a perfectly good tome by scribbling all over it.

When I log on I always read my PMs first, then I read my subscribed threads going from least interest to most interest and save my PFY thread for last.

Depends on the issue. Most of them I try to be perfect. I fall far short of that however. Some of them (Timeliness for example) Don't worry me as much.

When you are in a debate, Your posts are well thought out like you prepared them in a word processor (no misspelled words) and then copied and pasted.

I don't like tomatoes but like tomato sauce, ketchup, etc. I like celery, but only raw.
I LOVE tomatoes.

Absolutely abhor ketchup.

John just reminded me of this one. I am at least 15 minutes early. I hate being late. It is a pet peeve of mine. Also my biggest struggle with my teenagers.

I used to save my PFY thread for last also.

But lately, when I do that, I never get around to reading it. [sm=icon_smile_boggled.gif]

I hate being late also. And having not driven in the past 8 years, it's been an, uhm, interesting experience, to say the least, when relying on others and their time tables.

derryderrydown -> RE: Are you Quirky? (5/18/2008 10:47:55 PM)

Quirky is such a nice way of saying "odd"! I can think of some right off -- how many of you have every had a "Jack the Ripper" guest bathroom? I've been an avid Ripperologist for nigh on 40 years and when I moved into an apartment, I decided my small downstairs loo would house all my Ripper books and memorabilia. It was interesting to observe people's reactions. Most often, they'd stay in their for ages and then come out saying, "I was looking through some of your books in there, and they're really creepy!" What a fun thread!!
One of my quirks is the quilt on my bed, it is about half an inch longer than it is wide, but if I know it's on the bed with the seam going side to side rather than top to bottom, I cannot sleep until I have fixed it.

BugLady -> RE: Are you Quirky? (5/18/2008 10:51:21 PM)

I study the California Penal Code in my spare time.

shemaromans -> RE: Are you Quirky? (5/18/2008 11:01:09 PM)

I'm not sure how quirky this is, but I can't stand for cabinet and closet doors to be open. I always make sure they're shut.

I also have to position the piano bench just so or else I can't play well. It just doesn't feel right otherwise.

Funny. I'm similar in that I have to have the music stand positioned just right so I can see the conductor and my music easily.

I not only like bagpipes, I like crumhorns and rebecs. And I love 16th century music played by a rock band.

Ditto on the bagpipes, rebecs, hurdy-gurdys (the real ones). What are crumhorns?

Ooh someone who knows what a real hurdy-gurdy is. [sm=thumbsup.gif]

Here is infor on crumhorns
