My parents have a big combination bookcase/television cabinet in a corner of their living room. One time when I was visiting, one of their cats somehow jumped down behind it. She was stuck, and she started meowing loudly for us to get her out. My mom and I were the only ones home, and the cabinet was way too heavy for the two of us to move. So we came up with a plan.

I found a jumprope and tied it to the handle of a basket, and then I got up on a chair and lowered the basket down behind the cabinet (it sits kind of diagonal across a corner, and that's where the cat was). Why in the world I thought the cat would actually jump in the basket and let us lift her out, I don't know. But anyway, here I was standing on a chair, calling for the cat to jump in the basket, and my mom was peering through the crack between the wall and the cabinet to see what was happening.

Then, all of a sudden, my mom said, "I don't see her anymore!"

I turned around, and there was the cat, very much NOT stuck anymore and sitting behind us, watching the show. I think she was laughing at us! We still get a chuckle out of that story.

I have a dog who is 11 years old. Her name is Joy. She is a German shepherd/lab mix and is definitely too smart for her own good. She is a pro at opening doors and letting herself out as well as opening up pantries and helping herself to her treats!

I have an older cat, named Bounce. She is 15 years old and thinks she is queen of the universe. She thinks she is a dog and loves to LICK you to death!

I rescued another kitten, named Libby back in December. She is a sweetheart but is afraid of everything and everyone, except me! She was terrified of Joy when I first brought her home, but now Libby loves to rub herself all over Joy - although Joy doesn't appreciate it very much.

I gave Joy a bath a few weeks ago and when I let her out of the bathroom Libby freaked out! She puffed up, her tail was huge... she didn't' recognize Joy since she was wet! Another time my friend gave me one of those "relaxing" CDs to help me sleep....well it didn't help me, but Libby FELL OUT of the window sill after listening to it! I cracked up!!

That's like the time in Acts where Paul was preaching (FOREVER) ... and he was "so boring" (my own interpretation) that a guy in the windowsill fell and died!!! (But Paul brought him back to life ... or I should say, God did, but used Paul to do so ... AFTER he stopped preaching!!!)

That was a very funny story about all your animals.

Wasn't that Eutychus? Speaking of whom, where's he been?

Yes it was! You mean to say when he was raised from the dead ... he never died again?

Yes, Pam it was Eutychus. While listening to Paul preach he became "overcome with sleep" and fell out of a third story window.
