Incredible Hulk.
Good popcorn flick. Fast paced and lots of action.
Plus some great tribute and cameos.

I assume it was better than the one from a few years back?

The Happening.
Major disappointment.
I think it would have been better if Rog, Rerun, Dwayne, Dee, Shirley and Mama were the real cast rather than what we were given in this assemble. Lousy acting and story.

Waiting.

This might as well be Office Space with Ron Livingstone playing Jennifer Aniston's role!

I really didn't mind Ang Lee's version of Hulk.
This one is faster paced and has more action.
Plus Ed Norton is great as Bruce Banner.

Idiocracy

Finally... I have the opportunity to see what the whole hype is all about--albeit in a more low-key level. Anyway, I can see how satirically funny Mike Judge's movie is, if not potentially offensive (depending of course, who we're talking about ), but my only beef, if you will is...

<SPOILER ALERT!>

...when the film features a futuristic take on Fox News Channel, though when I finally have a chance to sit down, think outside of my routine/knee-jerk tendencies, I was reminded of the fact that for a cable news channel reputed to be a conservative lapdog, it's also the same network owned and operated by the same Rupert Murdoch, whom according to some well-versed media pundits, had a known record to display "curious politics," like supporting then-PM Tony Blair (i.e. a Clinton-esque, left-leaning British politician), or even investing in TV shows that seems to be libertarian at best or at worst.

But back from tangent, I think the whole moral behind Idiocracy is that maybe the reason why we could speculatively be heading towards a moronic dystopia is not so much dumb people over-producing, it's just that smart people (at least in the Susan Jacoby brand) are advocating dumb policies--er, I mean not producing enough, i.e. population control!

The Strangers.

It was okay. VERY slow start with maybe 15 minutes of no dialogue.... Seemed a lot more spooky because it's based on a true story. Lots of 'gottcha' moments. You'll lock your doors and not open the door to someone you don't know for a while.

Constant use of the 'F' word! No true sex. Situation 'starts' but is interrupted. No nudity.

It was worth the $6.00.

I just saw Get Smart. It is hilarious! I love Steve Carrell and The Rock. And Ann Hathaway was amazingly beautiful and funny. Loved the silliness of it all.

The Bucket List on DVD tonight... two thumbs up - thoroughly enjoyed it! Only complaint - a couple of swear words. Beyond that, great positive message, I laughed, I cried, it made some good thought provoking statements... check it out!

I just saw this, too, and I couldn't stop laughing.

Definetly Maybe- Absolutely loved it. Isla Fisher in a semi serious role was a bit of a shock but was suprised to see it though.

Spiderwick Cronicals- Loved it. A Good Family Friendly movie

The Love Guru- Classic Mike Myers.

I just saw the Affrican Queen. I didn't expect to enjoy it but because it was old. But it turned out great! I liked the actors especially.
Movies used to be made a lot better than they are today but the acting wasn't always the best.
Today the acting is ok but the special effects are all cgi. Everyone is losing their touch because of the modern aids... ggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

GET SMART- Very funny and really enjoyed it. I will have to watch it again when it comes out on DVD since I missed some lines because it's either I heard myself laughing already or the people in the theater were laughing out loud. I love Steve Carrell.

Now that is interesting because it didn't get good reviews for the most part, however I will have to give it a second chance instead.

American Psycho
A very strange, but very good film. If you like dark, weird films as I do you will probably enjoy as much as I did.

I practically had to bribe my 7 year old daughter with popcorn to go see Kung Fu Panda with me. She and I needed to do something. After seeing all the previews, she kept saying she didn't want to see it because it was "whacky". Well, I can't disagree with her, but I still 'made' her go.

We both enjoyed it. She is glad she went.

We watched the cutest movie from www.familytv.com called ‘Return to the Secret Garden’, rediscovering the meaning of friendship. It was really good.
