I found a link that may be helpful to everyone: List of Christian Electronic Artists @ Wikipedia! EDIT: DISCLAIMER - the link above is NOT all Christian, contrary to the title, and there are numerous lame or misleading links. Sorry, thought I found a goldmine, but not so much.

Since you said it doesn't matter if they're secular or Christian, check out some of these artists: Earth, Wind, And Fire Average White Band KC and the Sunshine Band Parliament War The O'Jays Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes Smokey Robinson and the Miracles Gladys Knight and the Pips Lou Rawls Donna Summer

Well, i've spent the past two hours scouring the internet for Christian dance artists. My conclusion? They don't exist. This is depressing me. I found 20-30 basement-made, self-published artists that have stayed on the down-low not because of any fault of record labels, but rather a general lack of talent. The only one that I found was one I already knew about - World Wide Message Tribe. The vast majority of material available to preview online is trance - not that there's anything wrong with trance, but this stuff is long and monotonous. Anyway, my search ends here - after 3 google searches, and tens of pages visited and hundreds waded thru.

Hip Hop: "Better Dayz" by K2S Rap: "Grammatical Revolution" by Grits Gangsta: "Papa Didnt Raize No Punkz" by King Shon and the SSMOB (another rare one!) More like their 4th or so.

I'm gonna have to echo those that said Ultrabeat and Cascada - awesome dance artists. Also, there is Sneaky Sound System, Potbelleez (sp?) - none are Christian, but all have some great music. Perhaps you could look up a Ministry of Sound CD and check out the artists on that. In South Australia we have a local dance station and they released a CD Fresh Hits 10, there's some awesome music on that.

humbleinspirit, as described in a previous post, being "dancible" does not make it "dance music," any more than listening to "black soul" makes you black. "Dance music" describes a specific brand of primarily electronically created music, often with extensive layering, repetition of bars or "loops," and often but not always having a pounding bass beat.

I don't know what that song is but if it's a remix it very likely could be dance music.

It sounded very dancy, and when the radio announcer said that it was Superchic[k], I was like "oh, I didn't know that they did dance music!"
