ORIGINAL: Quartet_Fan2008 Amen upnorthguy!!! I applaud you for being brave enough to speak what many of us may be thinking, but are reluctant to post, especially with such a popular group as EH&SS. I often wondered what the SGM crowd thought of a group who can dance and hop all over the stage and not have any effect on their vocal ability to hold notes and stay on key, yet alone, not get winded and deliver a strong ending. When you see a group who can hold their notes and stay on pitch, with little instrumentation to drown out their vocals - it's a REAL TREAT!!!! :-) I don't have anything against instrumentation. Personally, I like to see a live band, which very few have these days. I applaud the groups/artists who can go out and deliver a live concert with little or no instrumentation and let their vocal ability and harmony shine for the Lord! I am with you on this one Quartet_Fan2008. And I do understand that with rising costs of gasonline and everything else, it is almost impossible for a group to afford to bring a live band on the road anymore....But when the track's orchestration overpowers the vocals and the group sounds like 8 or 16 cloned voices singing live...This Industry, that I LOVE, has got to change....I just want to see the majority of the Top groups in the SGM industry sing FULLY LIVE in concert whether it is Acapella, with piano, piano and bass, tracks, or a mixture of all the above...I truly just want to see People ,who have a God Given ability to sing and play, stay Focused on HIM and not be afraid to give the people a real LIVE concert.[:)]
