lightshineon -> RE: Obama's thoughts on SUVs, AC, and dinner (6/3/2008 1:17:56 AM)

I have seen the good things GWB as done, and your right he has done it from his heart, because all anyone ever does is attack him, the right and the left. I love my border collies, they stink I do not pay 100 dollars for them to be groomed I put a muzzle on Rowdy, and pray for safety and bathe him myself. I do the same to Buleah, but she is much more subdued. I did buy a new car, three weeks ago, because my other two have been driven to death. I have, put many town miles on the mini van, taking people around, that have no transportation. We own a nice home, but, this is after many years in the sewer shack, a long story, of four females one male, and one bathroom. I am a bleeding heart conservative, a sucker many times, being used alot, still am according to my husband. I agree if someone buys a three thousand dollar dog collar that is sin. I do not buy what I cannot afford. My clothes and jewelry come aminly from wal-mart. would not buy SUV, I could not afford the gas, or would not want to. Tracy is somewhat right also, people do not help one another in the church as they should. This takes listening to the Holy Spirit, and obdience to what he ask you to do. I know a person cannot meet everyones needs, but, praying earnestly if you cannot for Gods provison and the poor matters. quote:

You have a very sick view of America, thinking that Americans don't care about anyone "as long as we and our pets are comfortable." That's rubbish. You'll find Americans working for the benefit of others in every corner of the world. American aid, both private and public, can be found wherever it's needed. Anytime we spend more on cell phone ringtones and lattes than $aid. It is sick! I have seen $3000 diamond collars for animals, whole mansions built for dolls. It is sick. I simply don't believe Americans are the only people of G-D. I believe there are 6 billion people that He looks at. Jesus says love your neighbor as you love yourself! WE can't possbily say we love anyone. Except ourselves. Americans are good people even if you and Michele Obama insist otherwise. You think we only care about ourselves and our pets. That's harsh and entirely false. Apparently you missed the billions GWB promised Africa. -- As Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete told Bush: "The outpouring of warmth and affection from the people of Tanzania that you have witnessed since your arrival is a genuine reflection of what we feel toward you and towards the American people." There's a good reason for that display of gratitude and friendship: Thanks to Bush's little-heralded African initiative, "hundreds of thousands of mothers' and childrens' lives" have been saved from HIV and malaria, said Kikwete. GWB to the rescue -- Did you ever hear of PMI, GWB's presidential malaria initiative? I'll bet not. "PMI is already saving lives and has reached more than 6 million Africans... PMI distributed more than 1 million mosquito nets to protect pregnant women and children under age 5; conducted indoor residual spraying campaigns to shield over 2 million people; and procured over a million treatments of highly effective artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs) and other antimalarial drugs to treat the disease. This year, an additional 30 million people are expected to benefit from lifesaving treatment and prevention measures as PMI expands..." we only care about our cats and dogs Or how about GWB's AIDS program for Africa, PEPFAR? "James Munyaneza, New Times/AllAfrica.com: It is "indisputable" that Bush has "showed commitment to help save lives in developing countries, especially in sub-Saharan Africa" through PEPFAR, the African Growth and Opportunity Act and the Millennium Challenge Account... In addition, Munyaneza writes that Bush is "passionately pushing for several pro-Africa initiatives" that "will extend" the programs in the next U.S. administration (Munyaneza, New Times/AllAfrica.com, 2/19). Americans don't care about people with AIDS Americans are greedy I could go on and on about how good America is to other people. GWB - The guy has received no political benefit from these programs. He gets no bump in his approval ratings. He gets little notice at home. He did it because he thought it was the right thing to do, like the rest of us.
